SPECIAL ORDER
In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, the Featherston Borough Council, hereby resolves and declares, by way of special order, that the plants mentioned in the Schedule hereto are noxious weeds within the Borough of Featherston :—

Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).
Common broom (Cytisus scoparius).
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare).
Gorse (Ulex, any species).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).

Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa).

Administration of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, in the Mackenzie County (Notice No. Ag. 5111)

THE following resolution passed by the Mackenzie County Council on the 13th day of July, 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950.
RESOLUTION
THAT, under provisions of section 22 (1) of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, the Mackenzie County Council hereby resolves to assume responsibility for the administration of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, throughout the whole county as from 1st September, 1951.

Lyttelton Milk Delivery Notice 1949, Amendment No. 3
PURSUANT to the Milk Delivery Regulations 1949* the Minister of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows :—

This notice may be cited as the Lyttelton Milk Delivery Notice 1949, Amendment No. 3, and shall be read together with and form part of the Lyttelton Milk Delivery Notice 1949† (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).

The Schedule to the principal notice is hereby further amended by revoking the words “F. H. and C. J. Forward, Milk Vendors, Lyttelton” in relation to Zone No. 3, and substituting the words “F. E. Forward and R. W. McRobie, Milk Vendors, Lyttelton”; and revoking the words “G. A. Smith, Hawkhurst Road, Lyttelton” in relation to Zone No. 4, and substituting the words “S. F. Hullah, Milk Vendor, Lyttelton.”

Notice Respecting Petition for Dissolution of the Lower Clutha River Trust

IT is hereby notified that the Otago Catchment Board has presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor-General, pursuant to section 8 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Amendment Act, 1946, praying that the Lower Clutha River Trust be dissolved and that the powers and functions thereof be transferred to the Otago Catchment Board. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge their objections (if any) within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections to be in writing addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs at Wellington.

Date of Election by Insurance Companies to Fill Extraordinary Vacancies on the Cambridge Fire Board and the Fire Committee for the Matamata Urban Fire District

PURSUANT to the Fire Services Act, 1949, and the rules thereunder, the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act doth appoint Monday, the 3rd September, 1951, to be the date for holding the election of one member of the Cambridge Fire Board and one member of the Fire Committee for the Matamata Urban Fire District by the insurance companies concerned, such election being held to fill the extraordinary vacancies caused by the resignation of Mr. K. H. B. Strong.

Exemption Order Under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply :—
A motor-driver's licence issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to any one of the persons described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment on a farm or market garden of the respective employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act, 1949, Section 36
IN terms of section 36 of the Transport Act, 1949, the Minister of Transport doth hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed-limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
