Land Taken for a Recreation-ground in the City of Auckland

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a recreation-ground and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 12th day of February, 1951.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 1 acre 2 roods 23·1 perches.
Being part Allotments 5 and 6, Section 8, Suburbs of Auckland.
Situated in Block XVI, Waitemata Survey District (City of Auckland) (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 35761.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 133183, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of February, 1951.

Land and an Easement Over Land Taken for a Library in the City of Palmerston North

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a library and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Palmerston North (hereinafter called "the Corporation") as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also hereby proclaim and declare that an easement is hereby taken over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto vesting as from the date hereinafter mentioned in the Corporation full and free liberty, right, license, and authority in perpetuity to use such land as a right-of-way with the right for the Corporation, its tenants, agents,
licensees, workmen, servants, invitees, and persons having business with it (and in common with the owners for the time being of the balance of the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 407, folio 64 (Wellington Registry), their tenants, agents, licensees, workmen, servants, invitees, and persons doing business with such owners) to go, pass, and repass over the said land and to maintain, repair, reconstruct, and keep open the said right-of-way for the purpose of providing access to and beyond the land described in the First Schedule hereto but so that such right-of-way shall be limited to a height extending from the ordinary level of the soil upwards for 8 feet 9 inches and such right-of-way shall be appurtenant to the land described in the First Schedule hereto and to the land described in the Third Schedule hereto provided that the right to pass and repass for the Corporation, its tenants, agents, licensees, workmen, servants, invitees, and persons having business with it shall be by foot only; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 12th day of February, 1951.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 20·46 perches.
Being part Section 670, Town of Palmerston North ; coloured blue.
SECOND SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land over which the easement is taken ; 2·58 perches.
Being part Section 670, Town of Palmerston North ; coloured blue, edged blue.
All situated in Block XI, Kairanga Survey District (City of Palmerston North). (S.O. 22278.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 132969, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
THIRD SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing 1 rood, more or less, being Town Section 671, Town of Palmerston North, situated in the City of Palmerston North, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 313, folio 148 (Wellington Land Registry).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of February, 1951.
