Revoking the Reservation Over a Reserve in Block IV, Otokia Survey District, Otago Land District

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation for quarry purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1948.

Recreation Reserve in the Nelson Land District Brought Under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by section 34 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Nelson Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Waimea West Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

SECTION 170, District of Waimea West, situated in Block V, Waimea Survey District: Area, 1 acre 2 roods 9 perches, more or less. (S.O. plans 9604 and 9627.) BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by section 34 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserves for recreation in the South Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserves shall hereafter form part of the Herries Memorial Park Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the Herries Memorial Park Domain Board.

Setting Apart Unalienated Crown Land for Purposes of Part III of the Coal-mines Act, 1925

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection (2) of section 167 of the Coal-mines Act, 1925, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the unalienated Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part III of the said Act, and do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT—GREY COUNTY

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 2 roods 10·3 perches, more or less, being Section 47 and adjoining Crown land, Town of Roa, situated in Block II, Mawheranui Survey District. (S.O. 1135.) As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked 6/6/143, deposited in the Head Office of the Mines Department at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Amending a Warrant Vesting Land in the Auckland City Council for the Purpose of a Public Road

WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the 2nd March, 1929, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 7th day of that month, the reservation as an endowment for education purposes over certain land was cancelled and the said land was vested in the Corporation of the City of Auckland as a public road, in terms of subsection (1) (c) of section 16 of the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1925 :

And whereas an error was made in the description of the said land in the Schedule to the said Warrant and it is expedient that the error should be rectified :

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, do hereby amend the Warrant dated the 2nd March, 1929, hereinbefore referred to by substituting the description of the land as set forth in the Schedule hereto for the description of the said land as set forth in the Schedule to the said Warrant.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 4·8 perches, more or less, being Lot 18 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office, at Auckland, under No. 11968, and being portion of Allotment 83, Section 16, Suburbs of Auckland.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 4th day of July, 1951.

Lands Reserved in the North Auckland, Wellington, and Otago Land Districts

WHEREAS by section 167 of the Land Act, 1948, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart as a reserve, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral lease or pastoral occupation licence, any Crown land for any purpose which, in his opinion, is desirable in the public interest, and notice thereof shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette.

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby reserve, subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act, 1948, and subject also to the reservations imposed by section 8 of the Coal Mines Amendment Act, 1950, the lands in the North Auckland, Wellington, and Otago Land Districts, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be reserved.
