Validating Irregularity in Connection With Annual Meeting of Kawhia County Council

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 31st day of January, 1951
Present:
THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by section 77 of the Counties Act, 1920 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), it is provided that the annual meeting of the various county councils throughout the Dominion shall be held on a day to be fixed by the council, such day being not later than thirty days after the third Saturday in November:
And whereas the annual meeting of the Kawhia County Council was omitted to be held within the period provided by the said section 77 of the said Act, but was held on the 20th day of December, 1950, and it is expedient to validate the proceedings in connection therewith:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by section 216 of the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that the proceedings in connection with the meeting of the Kawhia County Council held on the 20th day of December, 1950, shall be valid to all intents and purposes as if such meeting had been held within the period provided by the said section 77 of the said Act; and doth further declare that the said proceedings shall not be called in question by reason only of the irregularity aforesaid.

Authorizing Thomas William Green and Samuel John Green, Both of Tatare, Farmers, to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the County of Westland

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize Thomas William Green and Samuel John Green, both of Tatare, Farmers (hereinafter referred to as the licensees), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS
- IMPLIED CONDITIONS
THE conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
- LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
In respect of the lines hereby authorized, the licensees shall comply with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and shall be an alternating current system.
- DURATION OF LICENCE
Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1971, or until electrical energy is available from an electric-power board or other public source of supply whichever is the earlier.
SCHEDULE
LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described, commencing from the licensees' generator and proceeding in a northerly direction to a pole, thence in a westerly direction to a dwelling, and in an easterly direction across the Main South Road to another dwelling.
All being situated in Section 2184, Block VII, Waiho Survey District, in the County of Westland.
The said lines being more particularly shown by blue lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 128, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.

Authorizing the Tauranga Borough Council to Erect and Use an Electric Line in the Tauranga County and the Tauranga Borough

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Tauranga Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric line described in the Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS

THE conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
- LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, and the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (f) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The transmission voltage shall be 33,000 volts between phases.
- DURATION OF LICENCE
Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 1st day of October, 1956.
SCHEDULE
An electric line for the transmission of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described, leading from the licensee's generating station at McLaren's Falls, situated in Block V, Otanewainuku Survey District, in the County of Tauranga, and proceeding thence generally north-easterly across the said Block V, Blocks I and II, Otanewainuku Survey District, and Blocks XIII, XIV, and X, Tauranga Survey District, to the licensee's substation situated at Wharf Street, in the Borough of Tauranga, in Block X, Tauranga Survey District, the said line being more particularly delineated by means of a blue line on the plan marked S.H.D. 109, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.

Authorizing Malcolm Velvin Prouting, of Peel Forest R.D., Sheep Farmer, to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby grant to Malcolm Velvin Prouting, of Peel Forest R.D., Sheep Farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), a licence subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth to obstruct, impound, or divert the waters of Scour Creek (hereinafter referred to as the said stream) situated in Block XV, Sinclair Survey District, in the County of Ashburton, and to take and use therefrom for the purpose hereinafter set forth a stream of water not exceeding two cubic feet per second at any one time.
CONDITIONS
- IMPLIED CONDITIONS
THE conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Water-power Regulations 1934 and the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
- LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
This licence is issued under the Water-power Regulations 1934 and is subject thereto and to the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, and the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and to any regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
