SPECIAL ORDER

In exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, the Cook County Council hereby resolves and declares by way of special order that the plants in the under-mentioned Schedule, being plants included in the First Schedule of the said Act, are noxious weeds within the County of Cook.

SCHEDULE

Cape tulip (Homeria collina).
Nassella tussock (Nassella trichotoma).
Prickly pear (Opuntia monacantha).
Saffron thistle (Carthamus lanatus).
Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes).

Plants Declared to be Noxious Weeds in Waitomo County (Notice No. Ag. 5054)

THE following special order made by the Waitomo County Council on the 8th day of June, 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950.

SPECIAL ORDER

In exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves and declares by way of special order that the plants named hereunder (being plants mentioned in the First Schedule of the said Act) are noxious weeds within the County of Waitomo:—

Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).
Common broom (Cytisus scoparius).
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare).
Gorse (Ulex, any species).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
Milk thistle or variegated thistle (Silybum marianum).
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).

THE following special order made by the Marton Borough Council on the 12th day of June, 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950.

SPECIAL ORDER

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 3 (1) of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, the Marton Borough Council hereby resolves and declares by way of special order that the undermentioned plants are noxious weeds within the Borough of Marton:—

Barberry (Berberis vulgaris),
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus),
Common broom (Cytisus scoparius),
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare),
Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea),
Goats’ rue (Galega officinalis),
Gorse (Ulex Europaeus),
Hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha and Crataegus monogyna),
Hemlock (Conium maculatum),
Milk thistle or variegated thistle (Silybum marianum),
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea),
Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa),
Tutsan (Hypericum androsaemum),
Silver poplar (Populus alba var. nivea),

and that such special order shall take effect on the 12th day of June, 1951.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT the Wellington City Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, doth hereby resolve by way of special order that the plants more particularly named in the Schedule hereto be and are hereby declared to be noxious weeds in the City of Wellington.

In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, the Palmerston North City Council resolves by way of special order that within the boundaries of the City of Palmerston North the plants mentioned in the Schedule hereinafter set out be and are hereby declared to be noxious weeds.

THAT the Clifton Council declares under section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, that all plants mentioned in the First Schedule of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, are hereby declared as noxious weeds in the County of Clifton as and from the 11th day of May, 1951.

THE following resolution passed by the Waitomo County Council on the 8th day of June, 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950.

RESOLUTION

THAT pursuant to section 22 (1) of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, the Waitomo County Council agrees to assume the responsibility for the administration of this Act within its district as from the 1st September, 1951.
