NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 14th day of June, 1951, cancelled the registry of Tahakopa Lodge, No. 91, of the Independent Order of Oddfellows of New Zealand Friendly Society (Register No. 146/150), held at Tahakopa, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

BOROUGH OF TAURANGA

RESOLUTION SECURING SPECIAL RATE

Special Streets Loan, 1951, £11,000

THAT, in pursuance of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £11,000, authorized to be raised by the Tauranga Borough Council under the above mentioned Act, for the purpose of reimbursing the bank account to the extent of £7,766 (being moneys expended in anticipation of the Streets Improvement Loan), of additional forming, metalling, and sealing of Pillans Road, £3,000, of contingencies and of the cost of raising the loan of £234, the said Tauranga Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1¾d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Tauranga; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly, on the 30th day of March and on the 30th day of September, in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

TE KUITI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Fire-engine and Equipment Loan, 1950

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the above Council held on the 18th June, 1951, the following resolution was passed :-

“In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand three hundred pounds (£2,300), authorized to be raised by the Te Kuiti Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a fire-engine and incidental equipment, the said Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny (⅜d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property within the Borough of Te Kuiti; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
