Amending a Licence Authorizing Blackwater Mines, Limited, to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity, and to Erect Electric Lines Within Portion of the Inangahua County

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby further amend, as set forth in the Schedule hereto, the Order in Council dated the 3rd day of May, 1934, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 10th day of the same month at page 1421, authorizing Blackwater Mines, Limited, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect electric lines within portion of the Inangahua County, as amended by the Order in Council dated the 14th day of September, 1938, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 29th day of the same month at page 2145.

SCHEDULE

  1. The operative part is amended by deleting the words “within the area of supply defined in the Second Schedule hereto the electric lines described in the First Schedule hereto” and substituting therefor the following words “the electric lines described in the Second Schedule hereto”.

  2. Clause 4 of the First Schedule is amended by deleting sub-clauses (d) and (e).

  3. The Second Schedule is deleted, and the following is substituted therefor:—

“SECOND SCHEDULE

“1. Lines for the supply of electric energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described, and leading as follows:—

“(a) Commencing from the power house situated at the termination of the Lower Hydro water-race and proceeding in an easterly and then southerly direction across the said race and the Snowy River, thence in an easterly direction to a sawmill, and thence in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 86 chains to supply a winch;

“(b) Commencing from the power house situated at the termination of the Lower Hydro water-race and proceeding in north-easterly, easterly, and northerly directions across a public road to the main substation;

“(c) Commencing from the Battery Hydro power house situated near the confluence of the Snowy and Alexander water-races and proceeding in an easterly direction across the Snowy River, thence in a northerly direction across the said river, thence in a westerly direction across a public road and in a northerly direction across a public road to the main substation;

“(d) Commencing from the main substation and proceeding in northerly and easterly directions, and across public roads at three points to the North Shaft Substation:

“All being situated in Block XIII, Waitahu Survey District in the County of Inangahua, the said lines being more particularly shown by means of yellow lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 135, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.

“2. Lines for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described:—

“(a) Within a radius of 20 chains from the North Shaft;

“(b) Within a radius of 15 chains from the South Shaft;

“All being situated in Block XIII, Waitahu Survey District in the County of Inangahua aforesaid, the lines at present erected and used being more particularly shown by means of green lines on the said plan S.H.D. 135.”

Authorizing the Manawatu-Orona Electric-power Board to Construct Electric Works

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 76 of the Electric Power Boards Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Manawatu-Orona Electric-power Board (hereinafter called the Board), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to construct electric works within the Manawatu-Orona Electric-power District, as defined in the Third Schedule to the Proclamation dated the 16th day of August, 1939, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 24th day of the same month at page 2211.

B

CONDITIONS

  1. The Board shall not use any electric lines for the distribution of electrical energy unless it holds a licence authorizing the use of such lines in accordance with section 319 of the Public Works Act, 1928.

  2. Any conditions inserted in any such licence as aforesaid shall be strictly complied with by the Board.

  3. The Board shall forward for the information of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department, such further plans and particulars as the Minister may from time to time require.

  4. In respect of the works hereby authorized, the Board shall comply with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Cleveland Road in the City of Nelson

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Nelson City Council to lay-off the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for the whole of its length of less than 66 feet but not less than 40 feet.

SCHEDULE

That proposed street in the Nelson Land District, City of Nelson, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 7·8 perches, more or less, being parts of Sections 405, 405A, 523A, and 1127, City of Nelson, and being more particularly delineated as Lots 1 to 10, both inclusive, on Deposited Plan No. 4370 (Nelson Land Registry).

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Linwood Avenue, in the City of Christchurch, at a Width Less than 66 Feet, but Not Less than 50 Feet, Subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1948, and section 125 of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Christchurch City Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 feet, but not less than 50 feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the said proposed street within a distance of 48 feet from the centre-line of the said street.

SCHEDULE

That proposed street in the Canterbury Land District, City of Christchurch, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 18·1 perches, more or less, being part Rural Section 464.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 134301, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
