PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 25th day of June, 1951.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, and to section 29 of the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act, 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the Minister of Agriculture, made on the recommendation of the Rabbit Destruction Council, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—

(1) Alter and redefine the boundaries of the South Hillend Rabbit District by adding thereto the area of land the boundaries of which are described in the First Schedule hereto:

(2) Declare that the boundaries of the said district as so altered and redefined shall be those set forth in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF THE AREA TO BE ADDED TO THE SOUTH HILLENDRABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Wallace County, containing by estimation 5,875 acres, more or less, inclusive of roads and streams, and bounded as follows: Towards the west by the left bank of the Aparima River; towards the south by Lot 1 on the plan numbered 941, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Invercargill, by Section 14R, by the southern part of Section 117, Block XXVII, and by Run 135A; towards the east and north generally by Section 369, Block XXVI, Section 368, Block XXVI, and Sections 187, 304, and 311, Block XXI. All of the aforesaid sections and blocks being in Taringatura Survey District.

SECOND SCHEDULE

DESCRIPTION OF THE BOUNDARIES OF THE SOUTH HILLENDRABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Southland and Wallace Counties, containing by estimation 50,875 acres, more or less, inclusive of roads and streams, and bounded as follows: Towards the west by the left bank of the Aparima River; towards the south-west generally by a public road forming the northern and eastern boundaries generally of Lot 5 on plan numbered 238, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Invercargill, and Lots 3, 5, and 7 on plan numbered 152, deposited as aforesaid; towards the south generally by Mayfield Road and Ryan Road; again towards the west by Riverside Road; again towards the south-east by Section 7, Block VII, Oreti Hundred; towards the east by the Oreti River; towards the north-east generally by a public road forming the southern boundary of Lot 52 and the south-eastern boundary of Lot 55 on plan numbered 35 and deposited as aforesaid, by the Hogg-Shuttleworth Road, Section 256, Block XXXIV, Taringatura Survey District, Run 149 and Run 135A; again towards the south by Run 135A, again towards the east and north generally by Section 369, Block XXVIII, Taringatura Survey District, Section 368, Block XXVI, Taringatura Survey District, Sections 187, 304, and 311, Block XXI, Taringatura Survey District.
