Land Subject to the Housing Act, 1919, Declared Crown Land
Available for Reservation Under the Land Act, 1948

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred
upon me by subsection (1) of section 8 of the Housing Amend-
ment Act, 1940, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg,
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto,
being land subject to the Housing Act, 1919, to be Crown land
available for reservation under the Land Act, 1948.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area situated in Block III, Titirangi Survey District,
containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 38·2 perches, more or less,
being part Lot 1 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry
Office at Auckland, under No. 31576, and being part of Allotment
85, Parish of Titirangi. As the same is more particularly delineated
on the plan marked L. and S. 1/1273, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged
red. (North Auckland S.O. plan 36271.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of June, 1951.

Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be Subject
to the Land Act, 1948

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests Act, 1949,
I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the joint recom-
mendation of the Minister of Lands and of the Minister of Forests,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto, being portion of a provisional State forest reserve
set apart by proclamation dated the 7th day of October, 1930,
and gazetted on the 9th day of that month, is required for settle-
ment purposes ; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said
Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof,
cease to be provisional State forest land, and shall become Crown
land available for sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition under
the provisions of the Land Act, 1948.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT
SECTION 3093, Block XII, Waitaha Survey District : Area 394 acres,
more or less. (S.O. plan 1590.)

Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be Subject to
the Land Act, 1948

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests Act,
1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the
joint recommendation of the Minister of Lands and of the Minister
of Forests, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto, being portion of a provisional State forest
reserve set apart by Proclamation dated the 26th day of August,
1942, and gazetted on the 31st day of that month, is required for
settlement purposes ; and, in accordance with the provisions of
the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting
hereof, cease to be provisional State forest land, and shall become
Crown land available for sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition
under the provisions of the Land Act, 1948.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
SECTION 20 (formerly part of Section 4), Block III, Horohoro Survey

Declaring Lands in Otago Land District, Vested in the Otago Education
Board as Sites for Public Schools, to be Vested in His Majesty
the King

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education
Lands Act, 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act),
it is provided that notwithstanding anything contained in any
other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by pro-
clamation, declare that any school-site or part of a school-site
which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be
vested in His Majesty ; and thereupon the school-site, or part
thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in His Majesty freed and
discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but
subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting
the same at the date of the proclamation.
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
by subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being
areas vested in the Otago Education Board as sites for public schools
shall be vested in His Majesty the King, freed and discharged from
every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases,
encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date
hereof.
SCHEDULE
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less,
being part of Section 8, Block IV, Glenomaru Survey District, and
being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title,
Volume 153, folio 29 (Otago Registry).

Road Traversing Maori Land Proclaimed as a Public Road in
Block III, Halswell Survey District, Canterbury Land District

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses
Maori land :
And whereas the Maori Land Court, by an order made on the
21st day of June, 1950, and issued pursuant to section 484 of the
Maori Land Act, 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a
public road :
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the
public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public
road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the
Minister of Lands, in terms of section 486 of the Maori Land Act,
1931 :
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be
proclaimed as a public road :
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section 487
of the Maori Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road
the road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a road :—
A. R. P. Being Portion of
0 0 12 Section 1A, M.R. 875 (Rapaki); coloured red.

In the Canterbury Land District ; as the same are more particu-
larly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/225, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
under No. 3065, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 8th day of June, 1951.
