At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of June, 1951
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 246 of the Maori Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the sale to John Main, of Tirau, Farmer, of all the land described in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of Part XII of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land situated in Blocks VII, VIII, and XII of the Waimana Survey District, containing 3,101 acres 1 rood 10 perches, more or less, called or known as Tahora 2A D Section 2, and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 74, folio 40, Gisborne Registry, excepting thereout the land taken for a road by Proclamation No. 485.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £14,500 by the Gisborne Fire Board and Prescribing the Conditions Thereof

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 28th day of June, 1950, and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising by the Gisborne Fire Board (hereinafter called the said local authority) of a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000) to be known as “Construction Loan, 1949,” for the purpose of erecting flats for firemen:
And whereas the authority conferred by the said Order in Council has not yet been exercised:
And whereas the said local authority, being desirous of raising a further loan of four thousand five hundred pounds (£4,500) for the purpose of meeting the additional cost of erecting the aforesaid flats, has complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called the said Act):
And whereas the said local authority is desirous of raising the said amounts of ten thousand pounds (£10,000) and four thousand five hundred pounds (£4,500) in one sum of fourteen thousand five hundred pounds (£14,500) to be known as “Construction Loans Amalgamated Loan, 1951” (hereinafter called the said loan), and it is expedient to authorize the said local authority to raise the said loan on the conditions hereinafter set out:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section 11 of the said Act, as set out in section 29 of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising in New Zealand by the said local authority of the said loan up to an amount of fourteen thousand five hundred pounds (£14,500) for the said purposes, and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:—
(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall not exceed twenty-five (25) years.
(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding three pounds five shillings (£3 5s.) per centum per annum.
(3) The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.
(4) The payment of such instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no instalments shall be paid out of loan-moneys.
(5) The rate payable for brokerage, underwriting, and procurement fees in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per centum of any amount raised.
(6) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.

Consenting to the Raising of the Balance (£1,200) of the Otorohanga Town Board’s Loan of £9,000 and Prescribing the Conditions Thereof

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of May, 1951
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 11th day of June, 1947 (hereinafter called the said Order in Council), and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising by the Otorohanga Town Board (hereinafter called the said local authority) of a loan of nine thousand pounds (£9,000) to be known as “Roads and Footpaths Improvement Loan, 1946”:
And whereas the authority conferred by the said Order in Council has lapsed in accordance with the provisions of clause (7) thereof and it is not now lawful or competent for the said local authority to raise the said loan or any portion thereof except in accordance with the provisions of a further Order in Council that may be issued pursuant to section 11 of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called the said Act):
And whereas an amount of one thousand two hundred pounds (£1,200) (hereinafter called the said sum) has not yet been raised and it is expedient to authorize the said local authority to raise the said sum on the conditions hereinafter set out:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section 11 of the said Act, as set out in section 29 of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising in New Zealand by the said local authority of the said sum up to the amount of one thousand two hundred pounds (£1,200) for the purpose for which the said loan was authorized and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:—
(1) The term for which the said sum or any part thereof may be raised shall not exceed twenty (20) years.
(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said sum or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding three pounds five shillings (£3 5s.) per centum per annum.
(3) The said sum or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.
(4) The payment of such instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no instalments shall be paid out of loan-moneys.
(5) The rate payable for brokerage, underwriting, and procurement fees in respect of the raising of the said sum or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per centum of any amount raised.

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 14th day of May, 1947, and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising by the Ashburton County Council (hereafter called the said local authority) of a loan of thirty thousand pounds (£30,000) to be known as “Machinery Loan, 1946” (hereinafter called the said loan):
And whereas by Order in Council made on the 30th day of March, 1949, the period within which the amount then unraised amounting to twenty-three thousand eight hundred pounds (£23,800) might be borrowed was extended to four (4) years from the date of the Order in Council made on the 14th day of May, 1947:
And whereas the authority conferred by the Order in Council made on the 14th day of May, 1947, has still not yet been exercised to the extent of twenty-three thousand eight hundred pounds (£23,800):
