NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
——
In the matter of the Wellington City and Suburban Water Supply Act, 1927, the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and their respective Amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work, namely, for water-supply purposes, and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of I. HART, LIMITED.
NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolution was passed by the above-named company on the 23rd day of May, 1951:—
“Resolved that the company be wound up voluntarily; and that David Markham, Public Accountant, Wellington, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator for the purpose of the winding-up.”
All persons or companies having claims against the company are required to send full particulars to the undersigned on or before the 30th day of June, 1951, otherwise they may be excluded from participation in any distribution of assets.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 24th day of May, 1951.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Meat Act, 1939, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers and authorities thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £15,600 authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the Municipal Abattoir Loan, 1951, £15,600, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eleventh (¹⁄₁₁th) of one penny (1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property (on the basis of the annual value) of Auckland City, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be paid yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Health Act, 1920, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £30,000 authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the Conveniences Loan, 1951, £30,000, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one eighth (¹⁄₈th) of one penny (1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property (on the basis of the annual value) of Auckland City, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be paid yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
