DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership between GEORGE HENRY REID, SIDDALL AND ROBINSON, LIMITED, KEITH ARTHUR MAITLAND COUBRAY, and ALFRED DICKINSON, which carried on business at Coates Avenue, Oraeki, under the name of SIDDALL AND ROBINSON has been dissolved as from the 31st day of March, 1951, by mutual consent.

WATKINS AND HARDY, LIMITED

MEETING OF CREDITORS

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of Watkins and Hardy, Limited, will be held on Monday, the 11th day of June, 1951, at which a resolution for voluntary winding-up is to be proposed; and that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, at the offices of Messrs. Larcomb and Gibson, at the Manawatu Racing Club’s Building, 68 Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North, on Monday, the 11th day of June, 1951, at 2.30 o’clock in the afternoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act may appoint a committee of inspection.

MANGONUI COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mangonui County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the provision of a public road—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the County Clerk to the said Council, situate in Commerce Street, Kaitaia, and is open for public inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the executions of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Commerce Street, Kaitaia.

SCHEDULE

ALL the land containing 37·7 perches, more or less, shown yellow on Survey Office Plan 35921, and which land is portion of part Section 2 of Block XI, Houhora East Survey District, being the land contained in Certificate of Title, Volume 280, folio 24, Auckland Registry.

PRIVATE BILL

In the matter of the Standing Orders of the General Assembly of New Zealand relating to private Bills and in the matter of a Private Bill intituled the ELIZA WHITE ORPHANAGE TRUST BILL, 1951.

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the Standing Orders of the Parliament of New Zealand relating to Private Bills, that application will be made to the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled at its next ensuing session on behalf of the trustees of the Will of ELIZA WHITE, late of Christchurch, Widow, for leave to introduce a Bill to be intituled “An Act to incorporate the Trustees of the Will of ELIZA WHITE, late of Christchurch, Widow, and to vest St. Joseph’s Orphanage in the Roman Catholic Bishop of Christchurch and to extend the powers of the said Trustees.”

The objects of the Bill are—

(1) To vest in the Roman Catholic Bishop of Christchurch the property known as the St. Joseph’s Orphanage, being all that parcel of land containing eleven acres two roods twenty-five perches (11 ac. 2 ro. 25 per.), situate in Block XIV of the Christchurch Survey District, being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 9989, part Rural Section 141, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 432, folio 90, and the buildings and other improvements standing thereon and the chattels used in connection therewith upon the trusts created and declared by the Will of ELIZA WHITE, late of Christchurch, Widow, modified as therein appearing.

(2) To incorporate a Board of Management to take over the remaining assets of the estate of the said ELIZA WHITE from the present trustees thereof and to administer the same in accordance with the trusts of the said Will.

(3) To provide for the costs and expenses of the promotion of the said Bill.

(4) To declare the Bill to be a private Bill.

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN accordance with the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Whangarei Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £23,000, authorized to be raised by the Whangarei Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of remodelling and extending the Municipal Abattoirs, the said Whangarei Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·264796d. in each pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property in the Borough of Whangarei, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 20th day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is paid off.”
