Classification of Roads in Southland County
PURSUANT to regulation 3 (5) of the Heavy Motor-Vehicle Regulations 1950, the Minister of Transport doth hereby revoke that Warrant* dated the 2nd day of August, 1950, relating to the classification of Tokanui–Haldane Road in the Southland County and doth hereby approve the Southland County Council's proposed classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Southland County.

All roads within the Waihopai Riding lying to the south of the Invercargill–Fortrose Main Highway, between the eastern boundary of South Invercargill Borough, and the bridge over the Mataura River at Gorge Road, and all the County roads in Waihopai Riding, lying to the south and west of the South Invercargill Borough boundary.
All roads in the Wallacetown Riding within the area bounded on the north by the West Plains Highway, from the State highway (Invercargill–Queenstown State Highway) to the bridge over the Oreti River at West Plains; thence by a direct line from the bridge to the trig. station at the south-east corner of Block XIX, New River Hundred; thence west along the block line to the foreshore; thence south and east and north along the foreshore and New River Estuary to Stead Street; thence south-west along Stead Street to Curran's Road; thence north along Curran's Road and Otatara Road to Bay Road Highway; thence along Bay Road Highway to the south-west corner of Grasmere Township; thence north along the western boundary of Grasmere Township to the north side of Heywood Street; thence along the north side of Heywood Street to the Invercargill–Kingston Railway; thence north along the Railway to the West Plains Highway.
Tokanui–Haldane Road from its junction with the Kennington–Waikawa Main Highway at Tokanui to the south end of the gravel formation adjacent to the Port Craig Mill site.

PURSUANT to regulation 3 (5) of the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations 1950, the Minister of Transport doth hereby alter the Bay of Islands County Council's proposed classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Bay of Islands County, and doth hereby approve such altered classification as described in the said Schedule.

Approval of Application by Gisborne Borough Council for Declaration of a Zone of Parking Restriction
PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Traffic Sign Regulations 1937, as amended by the Traffic Sign Regulations, 1937, Amendment No. 1, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve of the application made by the Gisborne Borough Council for a declaration that the continuous parking of motor-vehicles shall be restricted to a maximum period of thirty minutes for any vehicle between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the zone of parking restriction described in the Schedule hereto, and doth revoke the approval given on 16th day of December, 1946.*

ALL that part of Gladstone Road commencing at its meeting with Derby Street and ending at its meeting with Reads Quay, and all that part of Peel Street, commencing at its meeting with Reads Quay and ending at its meeting with Childers Road. As the said area is more particularly delineated in blue colour on plan No. TT. 1740, deposited in the office of the Commissioner of Transport at Wellington.

Exemption Order Under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provisions shall apply:—
A motor-driver's licence issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, to any one of the persons described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment on a farm or market garden of the respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
