Notice of Intention to Take Land in the City of Hamilton for Housing Purposes

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Hamilton and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 1 perch. Being part Allotment 181, Parish of Kirikiriōa.

Situated in Block XIV, Komakorau Survey District (City of Hamilton) (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 34656.)

In the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 134022, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

The Ohura District Coalminers’ Union.—Cancellation Notice 1951

WHEREAS in respect of a discontinuance of employment by members of the Ohura District Coalminers’ Industrial Union of Workers, the Minister of Labour is satisfied that the discontinuance has caused and is likely to cause serious loss and inconvenience and that it has been brought about wholly or partly by those members:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 2 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act, 1939, the Minister of Labour hereby gives notice as follows:—

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Ohura District Coalminers’ Union Cancellation Notice 1951.

(2) This notice shall take effect on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  1. The registration of the Ohura District Coalminers’ Industrial Union of Workers is hereby cancelled.

Releasing Land From the Provisions of Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936 (Heretaunga Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby revokes, as far as it effects the land described in the Schedule hereto, a certain notice dated the 11th day of August, 1931, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 61 on the 20th day of August, 1931, at page 2326 whereby the provisions of subsection (3) of section 23 of the Maori Land Amendment and Maori Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1929 (now Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936), were applied to, inter alia, the said land.
