A PPLICATION has been made to the above company to issue a new certificate of title to shares Nos. 89682 to 89701, both inclusive, in lieu of original certificate No. 115, issued in the name of ROBERT PRATT CLARK, of Northbridge, New South Wales, and the said ROBERT PRATT CLARK has made a statutory declaration that the original certificate of title to the said shares has been lost.

Notice is hereby given that unless within thirty days from date hereof there is made to the company some claim or representation in respect of the said original certificate, a new certificate will be issued in place thereof.

NORTH AUCKLAND ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE

Reticulation Loan, 1951, £75,000

I N pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling the North Auckland Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the principal, interest, and other charges on the Board’s Reticulation Loan, 1951, of £75,000 authorized to be raised by the North Auckland Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of supplying and distributing electric energy for the benefit of the constituent districts of Hobson County, Whangarei County, Otamatea County, Dargaville Borough, Port Whangarei Borough, and Hikurangi Town District within the North Auckland Electric-power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and its Amendments, and in particular, but without limiting in any way any of the aforesaid powers, to provide, erect, and construct additions and extensions to the present system of electrical distribution and reticulation, to purchase plant, land, easements, general equipment, and any existing electrical installations and plant, to erect buildings, and to make provision for trading purposes as provided by the said Act, the North Auckland Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of forty-three one-hundredths of one penny (⁴³⁄₁₀₀d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the aforesaid constituent districts of Hobson County, Whangarei County, Otamatea County, Dargaville Borough, part Whangarei Borough, and Hikurangi Town District comprising the whole of the North Auckland Electric-power District as constituted prior to the inclusion therein of the Kamo Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 11th day of May in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the North Auckland Electric-power Board held on the 10th day of May, 1951.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Wellington City Works Loan No. 2, 1950, of £435,200

I N pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and its Amendments, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That for the purpose of providing the interest sinking fund repayment of principal and all other charges on a special loan of four hundred and thirty-five thousand two hundred pounds (£435,200) to be known as the Wellington City Works Loan No. 2 1950 authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of carrying out street improvements the Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and twenty-eight eight hundredths of a penny (²²⁸⁄₈₀₀d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of twenty-five (25) years from the 1st day of October, 1951 or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on Wednesday, the 16th day of May, 1951.

EKETAHUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

I N pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Fire Services Act, 1949, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and its Amendments, and all other Acts, Powers, and Authorities in that behalf enabling, the Eketauna Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“For the purpose of providing the charges (principal repayments and interest) on a loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000) to be known as the Eketauna Borough Council Fire Brigade (Fire Engine) Loan, 1951, authorized to be raised by the Eketauna Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of purchasing a Fire Engine, the Eketauna Borough Council hereby makes and levies, on the basis of the unimproved value of all the rateable land in the Borough of Eketauna, a special rate of one penny and one farthing (1¼d.) in the pound, and that such special rate shall be an annual and recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years from 1st June, 1951.”

The Common Seal of the Eketauna Borough Council was hereunto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Eketauna Borough Council in the presence of—

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

N OTICE is hereby given that the Takapuna Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a public work—namely, the provision of a quarry—and for the purpose of such work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and notice is hereby given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the Public Office of the Town Clerk to the Takapuna Borough Council situated at The Strand, Takapuna, and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who may have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at Takapuna.

KIHIKIHI TOWN BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

I N pursuance and exercise of the power vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Kihihihi Town Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a supplementary loan of one thousand three hundred pounds (£1,300) to be raised by the Kihihihi Town Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the works for which the Water Supply Loan, 1948, of £13,000, was authorized, the said Kihihihi Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing (¼d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Kihihihi Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of May and the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, for a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed on the 16th day of May, 1951.
