WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL

SPECIAL ORDER

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it the Whangarei County Council, at a special meeting thereof held on the 13th day of April, 1951 (of which due notice was given), resolved, by way of special order, as follows :—

"That, in pursuance of the provisions of section 43 of the Finance Act, 1937, the Whangarei County Council resolves, by way of special order, to make and levy an annual-recurring consolidated rate on a uniform basis of 0·801d. in the pound over the whole of its district on all rateable property within its district for the purpose of meeting annual loan charges in lieu of the several special rates as shown in the schedule hereto. It is not proposed to collect the said consolidated rate but to meet the interest and sinking fund charges on the loans scheduled from the general account of the county : And further, that the said special order shall operate and become effective as from the 1st day of April, 1951, and continue in force until the said loans shall have been fully paid off."

SCHEDULE

The foregoing special order was passed at a special meeting of the Whangarei County Council, held on the 13th day of April, 1951, advertised in the Northern Advocate on 24th April, and the 9th May, 1951, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said Council on the 11th day of May, 1951.

The Common Seal of the Whangarei County Council was hereunto affixed this 11th day of May, 1951, in the presence of—

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Hillcrest Sewer Loan, 1950, £15,400

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £15,400, authorized to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the provision of sewers in the Hillcrest area of the City, the said Hamilton City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four and a half pence (4 1/2 d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value, unimproved, of all rateable property in the Hillcrest Special Rating District ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period not exceeding 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Hamilton City Council on the 16th day of May, 1951.

Melville - Lake Crescent Sewer Loan, 1950, £12,600

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £12,600, authorized to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the provision of sewers in the Melville - Lake Crescent area of the City, the said Hamilton City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four and a half pence (4 1/2 d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value, unimproved, of all rateable property in the Melville - Lake Crescent Special Rating District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period not exceeding 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Hamilton City Council on the 16th day of May, 1951.
