Crown Land Set Apart for Social Security Purposes (Medical Practitioner’s Residence) in the Township of Runanga

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for social security purposes (medical practitioner’s residence); and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 28th day of May, 1951.
SCHEDULE
Approximate area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 1 rood. Being Section 7, Block XV, Township of Runanga, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 15, folio 247 (Westland Land Registry).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of May, 1951.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 47 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, now held for defence purposes, is hereby set apart for road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 28th day of May, 1951.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 47 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, now held for housing purposes, is hereby set apart for the purposes of the Wellington City water supply; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 28th day of May, 1951.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £400 by the Vincent County Council and Prescribing the Conditions Thereof

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day of May, 1951

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Whereas the Vincent County Council (hereinafter called the said local authority) proposes, pursuant to the provisions of section 49 of the Fire Services Act, 1949, to borrow the sum of four hundred pounds (£400) by a loan to be known as “Clyde Fire Station Loan, 1951” (hereinafter called the said loan), for the purpose of erecting a fire-station at Clyde:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section 11 of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section 29 of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of four hundred pounds (£400) and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:—
(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall be ten (10) years.
(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender a rate exceeding three pounds ten shillings (£3 10s.) per centum per annum.
(3) The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.
(4) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £425,000 by the Christchurch Drainage Board and Prescribing the Conditions Thereof

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 15th day of May, 1951
Present:
THE HON. W. SULLIVAN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Whereas the Christchurch Drainage Board (hereinafter called the said local authority) proposes, pursuant to the terms of a requisition issued under section 22 of the Health Act, 1920, to raise a loan of four hundred and twenty-five thousand pounds (£425,000) to be known as “Sewerage Loan No. 1, 1951” (hereinafter called the said loan), to provide drainage works and sewerage works:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section 11 of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section 29 of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising in New Zealand by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of four hundred and twenty-five thousand pounds (£425,000) and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:—
(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall not exceed thirty (30) years.
(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding three pounds five shillings (£3 5s.) per centum per annum.
(3) The said local authority shall, before raising the said loan or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, or under such other statutory enactment as may be applicable, and shall thereafter make payments to such sinking fund at intervals of not more than one year at a rate or rates per centum which shall be not less than two pounds four shillings (£2 4s.) such payments to be made in respect of every part of the said loan for the time being so borrowed and not repaid, the first such payment to be made not later than one year after the first day from which interest to the lender or lenders is computed on the said loan or any part thereof so raised.
(4) The payment of interest and the repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand.
(5) No amount payable as either interest or sinking fund in respect of the said loan shall be paid out of loan-moneys.
(6) The rate payable for brokerage, underwriting, and procurement fees in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per centum of any amount raised.
(7) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.
