Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block X, Christchurch Survey District, for Housing Purposes

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Bryndwr and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a public school—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Cromwell and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Exemption Order Under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
———
PURSUANT to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:—
A motor-driver's licence issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to any one of the persons described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment on a farm or market-garden of the respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

IN terms of regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby revoke the approval of the person named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder as Testing Officer under the said Regulations for the Authority specified in Cloumn 1 of the said Schedule.

Notice of Result of Proposed Loan
I HEREBY give notice, pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Richmond, taken on the 21st day of April, 1951, on the proposal of the Richmond Borough Council to borrow the sum of £11,500 for the purpose of bituminous sealing streets and roads in the Borough, including work incidental thereto:—

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 120
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 55
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at the poll of ratepayers held on the 20th April, 1951, in connection with the proposed Metalling and Bridge Loan of £3,000, the following numbers of votes were recorded:—

Against the proposal .. .. .. .. 16
As the total number of valid votes recorded in favour of the proposal was more than three-fifths of the total number of valid votes recorded at the poll, I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.
