The Servicemen's Settlement Act, 1950.—Notice Declaring Land Taken for Settlement of Discharged Servicemen
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Valuation Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto, and to which Part II of the Servicemen's Settlement Act, 1950, applies:
And whereas the purchaser of the said land is neither a discharged serviceman nor a child or grandchild of the vendor:
And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the said application was referred, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the said land, did on the 24th day of April, 1951, adjourn the said application:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 31 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 15th day of May, 1951, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT
All that parcel of land containing twenty-six (26) acres and eight (8) perches, more or less, situated in Block VIII, Mount Fyffe Survey District, being Lot I on Deposited Plan No. 875, and being part of Section 157, District of Kaikoura Suburban, and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 25, folio 34 (Marlborough Registry).
Also all that parcel of land containing (8) eight acres one (1) rood and ten (10) perches, more or less, situated in Block IV, Mount Fyffe Survey District, and being Section 318, and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 10, folio 122 (Marlborough Registry).
Also all that parcel of land containing ten (10) acres and one (1) perch, more or less, situated in Block IV, Mount Fyffe Survey District, and being Section 319, and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 10, folio 123 (Marlborough Registry).
Also all that parcel of land containing ten (10) acres and one (1) perch more, or less, situated in Block IV, Mount Fyffe Survey District, and being Section 320, and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 10, folio 33 (Marlborough Registry).
Also all that parcel of land containing (10) acres and one (1) perch, more or less, situated in Block IV, Mount Fyffe Survey District, and being Section 321, and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 10, folio 216 (Marlborough Registry).

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice Declaring Land Taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Valuation Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies:
And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman:
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 16th day of March, 1951, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court:
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty's Forces or in any British ship:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 1st day of June, 1951, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing two hundred and seventy-three (273) acres twenty-four (24) perches, more or less, being part Lot 1, on Deposited Plan No. 16097, part Allotment 230, Parish of Komakorau, and Part Allotment 349, Parish of Kirikiriōa, being all the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 891, folio 235 (Auckland Registry).

Rangitaiki Drainage District.—Penalty on Overdue Rates
Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 30th April, 1951.
IN pursuance of section 76 of the Rating Act, 1925, and the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, and its amendments, the ratepayers within the district constituted by the last-mentioned Act are hereby notified that 10 per cent. additional will be added to all rates for the year ending 31st March, 1951, unpaid on 25th June, 1951.
Rates may be paid at any money-order office or to the Collector of Rates, Lands and Survey Department, P.O. Box 2205, Auckland C. 1.

Revoking a Warrant Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality and Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of Section 36 of the Transport Act, 1949
IN terms of section 36 of the Transport Act, 1949, the Minister of Transport doth hereby revoke the Warrant dated the 23rd day of April, 1947,* which relates to part of the area described in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby declare the area described in the said Schedule to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SITUATED within Waimea County—
All that area adjacent to Nelson City consisting of—
(1) The Nelson–Stoke via Jenkin's Hill State Highway, No. 70.
(2) The Nelson–Westport State Highway No. 54, commencing at the south-western boundary of Nelson City, as now constituted, proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction and terminating at a point 16 chains measured along the said State highway in a south-westerly direction from the present position of the main entrance to the Stoke Post-office.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act, 1949, Section 36
IN terms of section 36 of the Transport Act, 1949, the Minister of Transport doth hereby revoke the Warrant dated the 17th day of June, 1949,* which applies to the portion of road described in the First Schedule hereto, and doth hereby declare the area described in the Second Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein, shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SITUATED within the Bay of Islands County—
That portion of the Blackbridge–Paihia Main Highway No. 587, commencing at a point 35 chains measured along the said main highway from its junction with Waitangi Road and terminating at a point 6 chains measured along the said main highway in a south-easterly direction from the entrance to Hamilton's Motor Camp, a distance of approximately 69 chains.

SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within the Bay of Islands County—
