Date of Election by Fire-insurance Companies to Fill Extraordinary Vacancies on the Fire Committee for the Havelock North Urban Fire District

PURSUANT to the Fire Services Act, 1949, and the rules there under, the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act doth appoint Monday, the 21st May, 1951, to be the date for holding the election of one member of the Fire Committee for the Havelock North Urban Fire District by the insurance companies, such election being held to fill the extraordinary vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. E. Felmingham.

Revocation of Appointment of Certain Garage-proprietors for Issue of Warrants of Fitness
IN terms of regulation 11 of the Traffic Regulations 1936, and all other powers enabling me in that behalf, I, William Stanley Goosman, Minister of Transport, do hereby revoke the approval of the person and/or firm described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of the issue of Warrants of Fitness for motor-vehicles.

The Servicemen’s Settlement Act, 1950.—Notice Declaring Land Taken for Settlement of Discharged Servicemen
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Valuation Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto, and to which Part II of the Servicemen’s Settlement Act, 1950, applies :
And whereas the purchaser of the said land is neither a discharged serviceman nor a child or grandchild of the vendor :
And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the said application was referred, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the said land, did on the 11th day of April, 1951, adjourn the said application :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 31 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 1st day of June, 1951, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land situated in Blocks I and II, Mangaorongo Survey District, and Blocks XIII and XIV, Puniu Survey District, containing by admeasurement one hundred and two (102) acres two (2) roods nine (9) perches, more or less, being Lot 5 on Deposited Plan 20377, being Puketarata No. 19H Section 2B Number 1 Block and part of Puketarata No. 19H Section 2B Number 2 Block, and being all of the land described in Certificate of Title, Volume 682, folio 47 (Auckland Registry).
