Appointment of Honorary Officers
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1946, I, William Stanley Goosman, Minister of Marine, do hereby appoint the persons named in the following Schedule to be Honorary Officers for the Acclimatization Districts shown in such Schedule for the purposes of Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908, such persons to hold office until the 31st March, 1953.

Lemon Marketing Regulations.—Notice Fixing Prices of Certain Grades

PURSUANT to regulation 19 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1946, I hereby fix the following prices per loose bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.

Plants Declared to be Noxious Weeds in the Takaka County.—(Notice No. Ag. 4999)

THE following special order, made by the Takaka County Council on the 10th day of April, 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of section 3 (4) of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950.
SPECIAL ORDER
IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, the Takaka County Council resolves, by way of special order, under the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, that the following plants be declared noxious weeds in the whole of the County of Takaka, viz.—Barberry, Bathurst bur, Blackberry, Californian thistle, Common broom, Ragwort, Sweetbrier.
It is proposed that the Special Order come into force on the 1st day of May, 1951, and be in substitution of any previous Special Order relating to noxious weeds and any such previous Special Order is hereby revoked and shall cease to have any effect after the coming into force of this Special Order.

THE following special order, made by the Hawke's Bay County Council on the 9th day of April, 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of section 3 (4) of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950.
SPECIAL ORDER
In pursuance of section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, the Hawke's Bay County Council hereby declares that
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus),
Hemlock (Conium maculatum),
Milk thistle or variegated thistle (Silybum marianum),
Bathurst bur (Xanthium spinosum),
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea),
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare),
Star thistle (Centaurea calcitrapa),
Boxthorn (Lycium ferocissimum syn. Lycium horridum),
Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa),
Gorse (Ulex, any species),
Nodding thistle (Carduus nutans),
St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum), and
Prickly pear (Opuntia monacantha)
are noxious weeds within the county of Hawke's Bay.

THE following special order, made by the Hawera Borough Council on the 16th day of April, 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of section 3 (4) of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950.
SPECIAL ORDER
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, the Hawera Borough Council, at a meeting of the said Council held at the Council Chambers, High Street, Hawera, on the 16th day of April, 1951, hereby resolves as follows :—
"That the resolution of the Council passed on the 19th day of March, 1951, in the words and figures following :—
" 'The Hawera Borough Council, at a special meeting of the said Council held at the Council Chambers, High Street, Hawera, on the 19th day of March, 1951, and in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, hereby resolves by way of special order that the following plants be declared noxious weeds within the Borough of Hawera, viz. :—
" ' (1) Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus),
" ' (2) Cape tulip (Homeria collina),
" ' (3) Gorse (Ulex, any species),
" ' (4) Hemlock (Conium maculatum),
" ' (5) Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea), '
be and the same is hereby confirmed."
