Altering Boundaries of Inner Area of Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District

WHEREAS the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board has presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor-General praying that the boundaries of the inner area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District (hereinafter referred to as the said inner area) be altered so as to include therein the areas described in the First Schedule to the aforesaid petition and to exclude therefrom the areas described in the Second Schedule to the aforesaid petition:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to alter the boundaries of the said inner area in manner hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by section 4 of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act, 1944, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that the boundaries of the said inner area are hereby altered so as to include in the said inner area the areas described in the First Schedule hereto, and to exclude from the said inner area the areas described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

AREAS INCLUDED IN THE INNER AREA OF THE AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN DRAINAGE DISTRICT

ALL that area of approximately 42 acres formerly in the Manukau County bounded by a line commencing at a point on the north-eastern side of Buckland Road, being the southern corner of Lot 3 as shown on plan numbered 15029, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being part Fairburn’s Grant No. 269A, and running north-easterly generally along the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 3 and Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 15029 aforesaid, to and along the south-western boundary of Lot 25, the south-western end generally of Landon Avenue, the south-western and north-western boundaries of Lot 40 and the north-western boundaries of Lots 39, 38, 37, 36, 35, 34, 33, 32, along a right line to and along the north-western boundaries of Lots 31 and 30, the aforesaid lots and avenue being as shown on the plan numbered 19500, lodged in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, and being parts of Fairburn’s Grant No. 269A, along the northern boundaries of Lots 29 and 28 as shown on the plan numbered 22348, deposited as aforesaid, to and along the western and north-western boundaries of Lot 5 as shown on the plan numbered 20337, deposited as aforesaid, and along the north-western boundaries of Lots 2 and 1 as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 20337, all the aforesaid lots being parts of Fairburn’s Grant No. 269A, and along a right line across Gray Avenue to the intersection of its eastern side with the south-western side of the North Island Main Trunk Railway; thence south-easterly and south-westerly generally along the western side of the aforesaid railway, to and along the boundary of the Borough of Papatoetoe, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 41 of the 10th day of June, 1946, page 807, to the north-eastern side of Buckland Road aforesaid; thence north-westerly along the said north-eastern side to the point of commencement.

Also all that area of approximately 192 acres formerly in the Manukau County bounded by a line commencing at a point being the western corner of Lot 39, as shown on the plan numbered 16884, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being part of Allotment 36, Parish of Manurewa, and running northerly generally along the western boundaries of Lot 39 aforesaid, along the western boundary of Lot 9, the western end of Camborne Road, the western boundary of Lot 1, both the aforesaid lots being as shown on plan numbered 19616, deposited as aforesaid, being parts of Allotments 14 and 36 of the aforesaid parish, along the western boundary of Lot 20, the western end of Omana Road, and the western boundary of Lot 19, the aforesaid lots being as shown on the aforesaid plan numbered 16884 and being parts of the aforesaid Allotments 14 and 36 of the said parish, to the southern corner of Lot 2, as shown on the plan numbered 34852, deposited as aforesaid, being part of the said Allotment 14; thence along the southern boundary generally of the said Lot 2 to a point 267·1 links distant from the south-east side of Great South Road; thence northerly generally along a right line parallel to and 265·01 links distant from the said south-western side for a distance of 2615·84 links to the western corner of Lot 1 of the scheme of sub-division of parts of Allotments 13, 14, and 137 of the aforesaid parish and shown on the plan numbered 3677 lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland; thence along the north-western boundary of the said Lot 1 and along a right line, being that boundary produced across the Great South Road to its eastern side; thence along the said eastern side to the south-west corner of the land taken for a public school by the Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 37 of the 16th day of June, 1948, page 775, being part of Allotment 10 of the said parish and as shown on the plan numbered 34473, lodged as aforesaid; thence south-easterly generally along the southern boundary of the land taken as aforesaid to and along the western and southern boundaries of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 33396, deposited as aforesaid, being portion of the said Allotment 10, to and along the western and southern boundaries generally of the land as shown on the plan numbered 21740, deposited as aforesaid, being part Allotment 12 of the said Parish of Manurewa, along the western and south-eastern boundaries of Lot 1 of Block II as shown on plan numbered 20840, deposited as aforesaid, being part of the said Allotment 12, and along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, the north-eastern end of Motatau Road and Lot 26 of Block II as shown on the said plan numbered 20840, being parts of the said Allotment 12, to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 36229, deposited as aforesaid, being part of the said Allotment 12; thence along a right line to and along the northern boundary of the said Lot 1 and Lots 2 and 3 as shown on the said plan 36229 and along another right line to and along the northern boundary of Lot 1 of the scheme of subdivision of part Allotment 12 of the aforesaid parish and as shown on the plan numbered 3531, lodged as aforesaid in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland, along another right line to and along the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 32550, deposited as aforesaid, being part of the said Allotment 12, and along a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced across the Papatoetoe–Howick Main Highway to its south-eastern side; thence along the south-eastern side aforesaid to the western corner of Lot 7 as shown on plan numbered 30135, deposited as aforesaid, being part Allotment 18, Parish of Manurewa; thence along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 7, to and along part of the south-eastern boundary of Lot 3 as shown on plan numbered 35751, deposited as aforesaid, being part of the said Allotment 18, along a right line to and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1 as shown on the said plan numbered 35751, along a right line to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 2 and 1 as shown on the plan numbered 33525, deposited as aforesaid, being part of the said Allotment 18, and along a right line, being the production south-westerly of the last-mentioned boundary to its intersection with another right line, being the production northerly of the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2 as shown on the plan numbered 32527, deposited as aforesaid, being part of the said Allotment 18; thence along another right line to and along the north-eastern boundary of the said Lot 2 and Lots 3, 5, and 6 as shown on the said plan 32527, along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Lot 7 on the said plan 32527, all the aforesaid lots being portions of the said Allotment 18, and along a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of Kimpton Road; thence along the middle of the said Kimpton Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 15 as shown on the plan numbered 19378, deposited as aforesaid, being part of the said Allotment 18; thence along a right line to and along the eastern boundary aforesaid and along the eastern boundaries of Lots 17, 25, the eastern end of Hamilton Road, and Lot 26 as shown on plan numbered 21522, deposited as aforesaid, being part of the said Allotment 18, to and along the northern boundaries of Lots 6 and 1 as shown on the plan numbered 34643, deposited as aforesaid, being parts of Allotments 18 and 19 of the said parish of Manurewa and along a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of Kimpton Road; thence along the middle of the said road to a point in line with the northern boundary of part Lot 1 as shown on plan numbered 11457, deposited as aforesaid, being part Allotment 19 of the said parish; thence along a right line to and along the northern boundary of the said part of Lot 1, along the northern boundary of Lot 4, the northern and eastern boundaries of Lot 5, and the eastern boundary of Lot 7, all the aforesaid lots being as shown on the plan numbered 19221, deposited as aforesaid, and being parts of the said Allotment 19, and along a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of Flat Bush Road; thence westerly generally along the middle of the said road to a point in line with the western boundary of Lot 17 as shown on the plan numbered 11855, deposited as aforesaid, being part of Allotment 39 of the said parish; thence along a right line to and along the western boundary of Lot 17, aforesaid, to and along the southern boundary of Lot 3 as shown on the plan numbered 36516, deposited as aforesaid, being part of Allotment 39, aforesaid, along a right line to and along the southern boundary of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 29988, deposited as aforesaid, being part of the said Allotment 39, to the boundary of the Borough of Papatoetoe as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 41 of the 10th day of June, 1946, page 807; thence again westerly generally along the said borough boundary to the western corner of Lot 39 as shown on plan numbered 16884, deposited as aforesaid, being the point of commencement.

Also all that area of approximately 227 acres formerly in the Manukau County bounded by a line commencing at the western corner of Lot 11, as shown on plan numbered 9047, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being part of Allotment 122, Parish of Manurewa, and running southerly generally along the south-western boundary of that lot and along a right line, being that boundary produced to the middle of Allenby Road; thence along the middle of the aforesaid road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1 as shown on plan numbered 21054, deposited as aforesaid, being part of Allotment 134 of the aforesaid parish; thence along a right line to and along the north-eastern boundary of the aforesaid Lot 1, along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 3 and 4, both the aforesaid lots being as shown on the plan numbered 21365, deposited as aforesaid, being parts of Allotments 134 and 135 of the aforesaid parish, along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 10 as shown on the plan numbered 8814, deposited as aforesaid, being parts of Allotments 124 and the said 135 of the aforesaid parish, along the north-western sides of the Carruth Main Highway and Puhinui Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 408 as shown on plan numbered 21176, deposited as aforesaid, being part of Clendon’s Grant, Parish of Papakura; thence along a right line across Puhinui Road aforesaid, to and along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 408, along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 407, 406, 405, 404, and 403, along a right line to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 401, 400, 399, 398, 397, along a right line to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 378, 377, and 376, all the aforesaid lots being as shown on plan numbered 21176, deposited as aforesaid, being part of Clendon’s Grant aforesaid, and along a right line to the northern corner of Lot 276 as shown on plan numbered 18037, deposited as aforesaid, being part of Clendon’s Grant aforesaid;
