SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land situated in Block V, Tapapa Survey District, containing by admeasurement two hundred and thirty-four (234) acres two (2) roods twenty (20) perches, more or less, being part of Allotment 121, Matamata Settlement, and being all of the land described in Certificate of Title, Volume 718, folio 105 (Auckland Registry).
As witness my hand this 23rd day of April, 1951.

Varying a Notice Declaring Parts of Tribal Districts to be Tribal Committee Areas Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945, I, Ernest Bowyer Corbett, Minister of Maori Affairs, do hereby vary the notice dated the 15th day of March, 1947, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 20th day of March, 1947, at page 342, declaring the parts of certain tribal districts to be tribal committee areas for the purposes of the said Act, by deleting from the Schedule thereto the description of the Matawaia Tribal Committee Area and substituting therefor the description appearing in the Schedule hereto.

KAWAKAWA TRIBAL DISTRICT
Matawaia Tribal Committee Area
ALL that area bounded by a line commencing at the northern corner of Motatau No. 14B Block in Block III, Motatau Survey District; thence southerly along a right line to the south-eastern corner of Motatau No. 16A Block and a right line in the direction of Trig. Station Z I (Motatau) in Block XV, Motatau Survey District, to the northern boundary of the Mangakowhara Block; thence north-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station XXVI (Ngatitara) in Block XII, Punakitere Survey District; thence north-easterly along a right line to the westernmost corner of Motatau No. 1B 5B 3 Block in Block VI, Motatau Survey District; thence north-westerly along a right line in the direction of the westernmost corner of Section 13, Block IV, Punakitere Survey District, to its intersection with the production of a right line between the southern corner of Motatau No. 1B 2A Block in Block II, Motatau Survey District, and Trig. Station 27A in Block I, Motatau Survey District; thence easterly to and along the last-mentioned right line to the southern corner of Motatau No. 1B 2A Block aforesaid and a right line to the northern corner of Motatau No. 14B Block, the point of commencement.

WHANGAREI TRIBAL DISTRICT
Kaikou Tribal Committee Area
ALL that area bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station XXVI (Ngatitara) in Block XII, Punakitere Survey District; thence proceeding south-easterly along a right line to the northern boundary of the Mangakowhara Block at its intersection with a right line between the south-eastern corner of Motatau No. 16A Block in Block VII, Motatau Survey District, and Trig. Station Z I (Motatau) in Block XV, Motatau Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Whangarei County; thence westerly generally along that county boundary to its intersection with the production of a right line between Trig. Station XXVI aforesaid, and Trig. Station XXVIA on the eastern boundary of Block XVI, Punakitere Survey District; thence northerly to and along the last-mentioned right line to Trig. Station XXVI, the point of commencement.

Assent to Agreement for Grant of Easement in Favour of James Anderson Stevens, of Maungatapere, Farmer, Over Land in Block XIV, Purua Survey District, Taken for the Development of Water-power (Maungatapere Substation)

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the 19th day of December, 1950, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 1 of the 11th day of January, 1951, at page 4, areas of land comprising approximately 0·04 perches and 5·3 perches, being parts Lot 2, D.P. 32362, being parts Allotment 1 (Tirarau's Grant), Parish of Maungatapere, situated in Block XIV, Purua Survey District, were taken for the development of water-power (Maungatapere substation):
And whereas at the date such Proclamation took effect James Anderson Stevens, of Maungatapere, Farmer, was registered as the grantee under a grant of water rights over the said areas of land under and by virtue of Memorandum of Transfer No. 418871 (Auckland Land Registry):
And whereas the said James Anderson Stevens is entitled to receive compensation for his interest in the said areas of land:
And whereas the Minister of Works has agreed to grant to the said James Anderson Stevens an easement to carry water in pipes over the said area of approximately 0·04 perches and over the area of land comprising approximately 6·1 perches, being part Lot 2, D.P. 32362, being part Allotment 1 (Tirarau's Grant), Parish of Maungatapere, and over the area of land comprising approximately 2·4 perches, being part Lot 4, D.P. 27731, being part Allotment 1 (Tirarau's Grant), Parish of Maungatapere, all being situated in Block XIV, Purua Survey District, and referred to in the said Proclamation, in full satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid:
And whereas the said James Anderson Stevens has agreed to accept such grant of easement in full satisfaction of the said compensation:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Works doth hereby give notice, pursuant to section 97 of the Public Works Act, 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in the Town of Ahaura for State Forest Purposes (Residence)

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 15 of the Forests Act, 1949, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for State forest purposes (residence); and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Ahaura and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Being Section 19, Town of Ahaura.
Situated in Block IV, Mawheranui Survey District, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 12, folio 145 (Westland Land Registry).
In the Westland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 133900, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Exemption from Headlight Requirements
———
PURSUANT to regulation 10 (6) of the Traffic Regulations 1936, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve for use in terms of regulation 7 of the said regulations the type of lighting equipment fitted to the “Reliant” three-wheeled motor-vehicle, namely—one centrally placed headlight fitted to the movable forks of the single front wheel, and two side lights.
