Alfred Leopold Sarney,

an officer of the Department of Health, to enter the premises of any person carrying on the business of a producer, manufacturer, seller, or distributor of any dangerous drugs and to demand the production of, and to inspect any books or documents relating to, dealings in any such drugs and to inspect, weigh, measure, and record the stocks of any such drugs.

Plants Declared to be Noxious Weeds in the Opotiki County.- (Notice No. Ag. 4998)

THE following Special Order made by the Opotiki County Council on the 6th day of April, 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of section 3 (4) of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950.

SPECIAL ORDER

"IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, the Opotiki County Council hereby resolves and declares by way of special order that the following plants, being plants mentioned in the First Schedule to the said Act, are Noxious Weeds within the County of Opotiki :

" Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus). " Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea)."

The Servicemen's Settlement Act, 1950.- Notice Declaring Land Taken for Settlement of Discharged Servicemen

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Valuation Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto, and to which Part II of the Servicemen's Settlement Act, 1950, applies :

And whereas the purchaser of the said land is neither a discharged serviceman nor a child or grandchild of the vendor:

And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the said application was referred, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the said land did on the 3rd day of April, 1951, adjourn the said application:

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 31 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 27th day of May, 1951, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE

HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land situated in Block IV, Te Mata Survey District, containing by admeasurement eight (8) acres three (3) roods, more or less, being Lot 5 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Napier under No. 2434, being part Heretaunga Block, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 102, folio 130 (Hawke's Bay Registry) subject to a grant of water rights and incidental rights appurtenant to Lot 6, Deposited Plan 2434 (Certificate of Title, H.B. 102/131), created or granted by transfer No. 68344.

As witness my hand this 23rd day of April, 1951.
