THE following notice, received by the Right Hon. the Minister of Finance from the Chairman of the Kairanga County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to Raise a Loan of £6,500

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers in the Awapuni Special Rating District in the County of Kairanga, taken on the 5th day of April, 1951, on the proposal of the Kairanga County Council to borrow the sum of six thousand five hundred pounds (£6,500) for the purpose of reconstructing and sealing roads in the Awapuni Special Rating District :—

Votes.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 38
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was .. 29
I therefore declare that the proposal was lost.
