Reorganization of the Territorial Force

Army Department,
Wellington, 12th April, 1951.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following amendments to the New Zealand Gazette Notice No. 55, dated 21st October, 1948:—

REORGANIZATION OF THE TERRITORIAL FORCE

WHEREAS by notice published in New Zealand Gazette No. 55, appearing at pages 1298 and 1299, dated 21st October, 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General was pleased to approve, under section 6 (a), Defence Act, 1909, of the reorganization of the Territorial Force, and whereas by reason of further reorganization of the New Zealand Army the said Gazette notice requires amending:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve that the said Gazette Notice of 21st October, 1948, be amended as follows:—

Units Redesignated

By deleting “5th Assault Squadron RNZE” in the second column, and substituting “5th Independent Field Squadron RNZE”.

New Units Formed

(i) By deleting “Headquarters RNZASC New Zealand Division” and substituting “Headquarters CRNZASC New Zealand Division”.

(ii) By adding “1st, 2nd, and 3rd Field Dressing Stations RNZAMC” respectively in sequence immediately after “3rd Field Hygiene Section RNZAMC”.

(iii) By deleting “Headquarters RNZAOC New Zealand Division” and substituting “Headquarters CRNZACC New Zealand Division”.

(iv) By deleting “Headquarters RNZEME New Zealand Division” and substituting “Headquarters CRNZEME New Zealand Division”.

Mining Privilege, Held by His Majesty the King, Surrendered

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of section 97 of the Mining Act, 1926, that the mining privilege described in the Schedule hereto is surrendered as from the date hereof.

SCHEDULE

LICENCE for a residence-site dated the 18th day of September, 1906, and registered in the office of the Warden’s Court, at Westport, as No. 1553.

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 188 of the Mining Act, 1926, that unless cause to the contrary be shown the mining privileges set out in the Schedule will be struck off the register at the expiration of one month from the date hereof.

Price Order No. 1231 (Amendment No. 1 of Price Order No. 1207) (Australian Wheat)

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, hereby makes the following amending Price Order:—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1231, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 1207* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 23rd day of April, 1951.

  3. The principal Order is hereby amended as follows:—

(a) By omitting the figure “7d.” where it appears in the provisos to clause 10 and in subclause (2) of clause 11, and substituting in each case the figure “8d.”

(b) By omitting the table to clause 10 and substituting the following table:—
