Also all that area containing one hundred and forty-five (145) acres three (3) roods twenty-one decimal five (21·5) perches, more or less, being Sections 21, 22, 34, 35, 76, 82, and part Sections 33 and 83, Block VII, Shotover Survey District, and being all of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 62, folio 7 (Otago Registry), subject to Irrigation Agreement X No. 3394 under the Public Works Act, 1928.

Also all that area containing forty-three (43) acres, more or less, being Section 25A, Block VII, Shotover Survey District, and being all of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 88, folio 205 (Otago Registry), subject to Irrigation Agreement X No. 3431 under the Public Works Act, 1928.

Also all that area containing seventy-four (74) acres two (2) roods and two decimal nine (2·9) perches, more or less, being Sections 39, 87, and part Section 15, Block VII, Shotover Survey District, together with such parts of the mines of coal or other minerals (if any) under the surface of other part of said Section 15 as are not taken by Proclamation deposited in the Lands Registry Office at Dunedin as No. 2310, being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 158, folio 193 (Otago Registry), subject to Irrigation Agreement X No. 3431 under the Public Works Act, 1928.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing forty-four (44) acres three (3) roods one (1) perch, more or less, being Sections 16 and 17, Block VII, Shotover Survey District, and being all the land described in Certificate of Title, Volume 238, folio 116 (Otago Registry), and being all of the land described in Memorandum of Lease numbered 6916.

The Servicemen’s Settlement Act, 1950.—Notice Declaring Land Taken for Settlement of Discharged Servicemen

———

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Valuation Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto, and to which Part II of the Servicemen’s Settlement Act, 1950, applies :

And whereas the purchaser of the said land is neither a discharged serviceman nor a child or grandchild of the vendor :

And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the said application was referred, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the said land, did on the 22nd day of March, 1951, adjourn the said application :

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 31 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 30th day of May, 1951, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land situated in Block IV, Komakorau Survey District, containing by admeasurement 199 acres and 16 perches, more or less, being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 4964, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 496, folio 35 (Auckland Registry).

Revoking a Warrant Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality and Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of Section 36 of the Transport Act, 1949

———

IN terms of section 36 of the Transport Act, 1949, the Minister of Transport doth hereby revoke the Warrant dated the 14th day of December, 1950,* which refers to part of the area described in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby declare the area described in the said Schedule to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SITUATED within Matamata County—

All that area at Tokoroa consisting of the Tirau–Wairakei State Highway No. 41, commencing at the bridge over the Whakauru Stream and terminating at a point 30 chains measured along the said State Highway in a south-easterly direction from its junction with Sloss Road.

Declaring Areas to be Closely Populated Localities for the Purposes of Section 36 of the Transport Act, 1949

IN terms of section 36 of the Transport Act, 1949, the Minister of Transport doth hereby declare the areas described in the Schedule hereto to be closely populated localities for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SITUATED within Horowhenua County—

All those roads at Waikanae Beach, including all that portion of the Waikanae–Waimea Main Highway No. 372, commencing at a point 5 chains measured in an easterly direction from its junction with Rauparaha Street, and terminating at the western end of the said main highway. Also, all that portion of the Waikanae–Waimea Main Highway No. 372, commencing at a point 92 chains measured in a westerly direction from its junction with the Paekakariki–Levin State Highway No. 13, and terminating at the said junction.

PURSUANT to regulation 3 (5) of the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations 1950, the Minister of Transport doth hereby alter the Akitio County Council’s proposed classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto and situated in Akitio County and doth hereby approve such altered classification as described in the said Schedule.
