The Servicemen’s Settlement Act, 1950.—Notice Declaring Land Taken for Settlement of Discharged Servicemen
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Valuation Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto, and to which Part II of the Servicemen’s Settlement Act, 1950, applies:
And whereas the purchaser of the said land is neither a discharged serviceman nor a child or grandchild of the vendor:
And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the said application was referred, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land described in the said First Schedule and of the interest of the lessee in the land described in the said Second Schedule, did adjourn the said application:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of sections 31 and 36 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the land described in the said First Schedule and the interest of the lessee in the land described in the said Second Schedule are taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 19th day of April, 1951, as the date on which the said land and the said interest in land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
FIRST SCHEDULE
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing one hundred and eighty-nine (189) acres one (1) rood thirty-nine (39) perches, more or less, being Sections 23, 24, 53, and 89, Block VII, Shotover Survey District, and being all of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 15, folio 278 (Otago Registry), subject to Irrigation Agreement X No. 3431 under the Public Works Act, 1928.
Also all that area containing fifty (50) acres, more or less, being Section 52, Block VII, Shotover Survey District, and being all of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 28, folio 229 (Otago Registry), subject to Irrigation Agreement X No. 3431 under the Public Works Act, 1928.
Also all that area containing ninety-four (94) acres one (1) rood ten (10) perches, more or less, being Section 20 and Part Sections 18 and 19, Block VII, Shotover Survey District, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 59, folio 100 (Otago Registry), subject to Irrigation Agreement X No. 3394 under the Public Works Act, 1928.
Also all that area containing one (1) acre one (1) rood decimal five (0·5) perches, more or less, being part Section 83, Block VII, Shotover Survey District, and being all of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 61, folio 255 (Otago Registry).
