- Overhead lines for the supply of electrical energy by the
system of supply hereinbefore described and leading as follows :—
(a) Commencing from the Mill House situated in Reserve L,
and proceeding in a southerly direction to the crushing
plant situated in part Section 22 ;
(b) Commencing from the power-house situated in Reserve L,
and proceeding in a south-westerly direction to a trans-
former situated in Section 101 ;
(c) Commencing from the said transformer and proceeding in
a south-easterly thence easterly direction to two light
poles situated in part Section 1 ;
(d) Commencing from the said transformer and proceeding in
a north-westerly direction to a light pole and thence
to a pump-house situated in Section 101, with a branch
line leading in a south-westerly direction to the Works
Manager’s residence situated in part Section 1.
All being situated in Block VII, Waitapu Survey District, in
the County of Takaka, the said lines being more particularly shown
by means of a yellow line and red lines on the said plan S.H.D. 137.

Authorizing John Philip Hunt and Thomas Lindsay Hunt, Both of
Mt. Nicholas Station, Queenstown, Sheep-farmers, to Use Water
for the Purpose of Generating Electricity

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 17th day of
April, 1951
Present :
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, doth hereby grant to John Philip Hunt
and Thomas Lindsay Hunt, both of Mt. Nicholas Station, Queens-
town, Sheep farmers (hereinafter referred to as the licensees), a
licence subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to take and
use from the lagoons situated in Run 324A, Block XV, Mid Wakatipu
Survey District, in the Land District of Otago, for the purposes
hereinafter set forth, a stream of water not exceeding 2 cubic feet
per second at any one time.
CONDITIONS
1. IMPLIED CONDITIONS
THE conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Water-
power Regulations 1934 and the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935
shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except
in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
2. LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
This licence is issued under the Water-power Regulations 1934,
and is subject thereto and to the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935,
the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, and the Radio Interference
Regulations 1934, and to any regulations hereafter made in amend-
ment thereof or in substitution therefor, respectively.
3. UTILIZATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS
Water shall be used under this licence solely for the purpose of
generating electricity and shall be taken from the lagoons at the
point in Run 324A, Block XV, Mid Wakatipu Survey District,
indicated on the plan marked S.H.D. 132, deposited in the office
of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.
4. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
The licensee is hereby authorized, subject to the conditions
hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the
purposes of this licence, the positions of the said works being indicated
on the said plan S.H.D. 132 :—
(a) Headworks consisting of a dam and intake with a water-race
and pipe-line leading to the power-house, hereinafter
referred to, giving a static head of approximately 325 ft. ;
(b) A Pelton wheel and power-house with all necessary equipment
for generating electricity, situated in Section 3, Block
XV, Mid Wakatipu Survey District ;
(c) A tail-race leading from the aforesaid power-house to Lake
Wakatipu.
5. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d)
of clause 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and shall
be an alternating current system.
6. DURATION OF LICENCE
Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in
force until the 31st day of March, 1971, or until electrical energy
is available from an electric-power board or other public source
of supply whichever is the earlier.
- RENTAL
For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable
in respect of this licence, the licensee may install a suitable maximum
demand indicator to the satisfaction of the Inspecting Engineer of
the State Hydro-electric Department, and, failing such installation,
the rental shall be assessed on the maximum generating capacity of
the plant installed. The present plant is rated at 16 kilowatts.
8. NO RIGHT TO WATER CONFERRED
Nothing in this licence shall of itself confer upon the licensees
any right to water.

PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amend-
ment Act, 1948, and section 125 of the Public Works Act,
1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, doth hereby authorize the Morrinsville Borough Council to
permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule
hereto at a width for the whole of its length of less than 66 feet,
but not less than 50 feet, subject to the condition that no building
or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown
edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 132977, referred to in the
said Schedule, within a distance of 48 feet from the centre-line of the
said street.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the South Auckland Land District, Borough
of Morrinsville, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 3 perches,
more or less, being part Lot 2, D.P. 37021, and part Lot 2, D.P. 4359,
being part Motumaoho No. 2 Block, situated in Maungakawa Survey
District.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 132977, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amend-
ment Act, 1948, and section 125 of the Public Works Act,
1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, doth hereby authorize the Whangarei Borough Council
to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the
Schedule hereto at a width for the whole of its length of less than
66 feet, but not less than 40 feet, subject to the condition that no
building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 4
to 7, inclusive, of a subdivision of the land fronting the proposed street
(as shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 133885, referred
to in the said Schedule) within a distance of 48 feet from the centre-
line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the North Auckland Land District, Borough
of Whangarei, containing by admeasurement 27·4 perches, more or
less, being part Lot 1, D.P. 25054, being part Allotment 2, Parish of
Whangarei.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 133885, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
