PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.

Allocating Railway Land to the Purposes of Road in Block XIII, Wai-iti Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land which is described in the Schedule hereto (and which was taken for the Midland Railway and is not now required for such purpose) shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become road, and that such road shall be maintained by the Main Highways Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.

Authorizing William Spiers Glenn and George Cyril Glenn, both of Kakatahi, Farmers, to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the County of Wanganui

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize William Spiers Glenn and George Cyril Glenn, both of Kakatahi, Farmers (hereinafter referred to as the licensees), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS

  1. IMPLIED CONDITIONS

THE conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

  1. LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS

The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensees with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.

  1. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

The system of supply shall be an alternating current system as described in paragraph (d) of clause 21-01 of the Electric Supply Regulations 1935.

  1. DURATION OF LICENCE

Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1971.

SCHEDULE

LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described commencing from the licensees' generator and proceeding as follows:—

  1. In a north-easterly direction to a house and a stable, thence in a south-easterly direction to the men's quarters;
  2. In a south-westerly direction across Field's Track, thence in a south-easterly direction to a wool-shed.

All being situated in Para Para 2B 2E No. 1 Block, Block X, Ngamatea Survey District, in the County of Wanganui, the said lines being more particularly shown by means of blue lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 130, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby grant, subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, a licence authorizing the Golden Bay Cement Company, Limited, a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Wellington (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS

  1. IMPLIED CONDITIONS

An underground cable for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described: Commencing from the power-house situated in Reserve L, Block VII, Waitapu Survey District, in the County of Takaka, and proceeding in a south-easterly direction to the Mill House situated in the said Reserve L, the said cable being more particularly shown by means of a broken red line on the plan marked S.H.D. 137, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.
