SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
All that parcel of land situated in Block VIII, Newcastle Survey
District, containing by admeasurement one hundred and fifty-
nine (159) acres three (3) roods fourteen (14) perches, more or less,
being Lot 4 on Deposited Plan 6931, being parts of Allotments 215
and 229, Komakorau Parish, and being all of the land described
in Deferred Payment License numbered 3226 comprised in Register
Book, Volume 710, folio 205 (Auckland Registry).
As witness my hand this 3rd day of April, 1951.

The Servicemen's Settlement Act, 1950.-Notice Declaring Land
Taken for Settlement of Discharged Servicemen
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of
the Land Valuation Court to a transaction which relates to the
land described in the Schedule hereto, and to which Part II of the
Servicemen's Settlement Act, 1950, applies:
And whereas the purchaser of the said land is neither a
discharged serviceman nor a child or grandchild of the vendor:
And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the said
application was referred, not being satisfied that the Crown had
decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the said
land, did on the 12th day of March, 1951, adjourn the said
application:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance
of section 31 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said
land is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and
hereby specifies the 24th day of April, 1951, as the date on which
the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
All that area situated in Blocks VII and XI, Ashburton Survey
District, containing by admeasurement six hundred and seventy-
nine (679) acres, more or less, being Rural Sections 26198 and 26199,
and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume
105, folio 231 (Canterbury Registry).
As witness my hand this 3rd day of April, 1951.

Exemption Order Under the Motor-drivers Regulations, 1940
Pursuant to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister
of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions
of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they
relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the
person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following
provision shall apply:-
A motor-driver's licence issued under the Motor-drivers Regu-
lations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule
hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the
course of his employment on a farm or market garden of the employer
described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize
him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy
trade motor for any other purpose.

Alterations to the Scale of Charges Upon the New Zealand Government
Railways
IN pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling me under
the Government Railways Act, 1949, and of all other powers
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Stanley Goosman, Minister
of Railways, do hereby make the following alterations to the General
Scale of Charges made on the 13th day of April, 1939, and published
in the Supplement dated the 19th day of April, 1939, to the New
Zealand Gazette of the 13th day of April, 1939, in force on the New
Zealand Government Railways open for traffic.
GENERAL SCALE OF CHARGES
The following alterations to the General Scale of Charges shall come
into force on the 29th day of April, 1951
LUGGAGE, PARCELS, ETC.
54a. Parcels, &c., "Owner's Risk" and "Special Goods" Provisions
Add new paragraph 2.
2. The charges on consignments forwarded under the provisions of
Regulations 55 to 57, inclusive, 59 to 65, inclusive, and 67, must be pre-paid.
55. Parcels Rates
Omit paragraphs 4, 6, 7, and 26.
66. Cash on Delivery ("C.O.D") Parcels Traffic
Omit this regulation.
GOODS
85. Fresh Fruit, Fresh Vegetables, Mushrooms, and Nuts
Add the following new paragraph:-
3A. The charges on consignments conveyed under the provisions of
paragraphs 1 and 1A of this regulation must be prepaid.
140. LAKE WAKATIPU STEAMER SERVICE
Omit paragraph 41 and substitute the following:-
41. The charges on all parcels traffic conveyed on Lake Wakatipu must be
prepaid.
