Land Held for Housing Purposes Set Apart for Buildings of the General Government in the Borough of Mount Eden

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 47 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, now held for housing purposes, is hereby set apart for buildings of the General Government; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 27th day of March, 1951.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land set apart:—

0 3 6·8 Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, D.P. 27831, being part Allotment 1, Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland (Borough of Mount Eden), and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 633, folio 252 (Auckland Land Registry).

0 1 13·4 Part Lot 1, D.P. 26186, being part Allotment 1, Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland (Borough of Mount Eden), and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 675, folio 193 (Auckland Land Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of March, 1951.

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as street the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as street: 19·01 perches.

Being part Lot 4, D.P. 3348, being part Section 18, Ohiro District. Situated in Block X, Port Nicholson Survey District (City of Wellington). (S.O. 22185.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 133662, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 3 roods 28·8 perches. Adjoining Sections 1 and 2, Brooksdale Settlement, and Lot 11, D.P. 2506, being part Rural Section 9876.

Situated in Block VII, Waipara Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 8190.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 133158, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of March, 1951.

Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road at Raurimu

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the North Island Main Trunk Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section 226 of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Kaitieke County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 3 roods 29·3 perches. Being part Railway land, formerly Crown land.

Situated in Block XII, Kaitieke Survey District, Kaitieke County. (S.O. 21839.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 9741, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of March, 1951.
