All persons affected by the execution of the said public works
or by the taking of such land, must state their objection in writing
and send the same, within forty days from the first publication
of this notice, to the Town Clerk, at the Council Chambers, Bank
Street, Whangarei.
SCHEDULE
AREA of the piece of land required to be taken: 23·8 perches.
Description of the land: Part Lot 4, D.P. 26499, being part Allot-
ment 1, Parish of Whangarei; coloured yellow.
Situated in Block IX, Whangarei Survey District (Borough of
Whangarei). (S.O. plan 36163.)

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
The Wellington City Water Services Loan, 1949, of £187,000
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1926, and its Amendments, the Wellington City Council hereby
resolves as follows:—
“That for the purpose of providing the interest sinking fund
repayment of principal and other charges on a loan of one hundred
and eighty-seven thousand pounds (£187,000) to be known as the
Wellington City Water Services Loan 1949 authorized to be raised
by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of rehabilitating the water reticulation system of
the City of Wellington and associated structures the Wellington
City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ninety-eight
hundredths of a penny (⁹⁸⁄₁₀₀d.) in the pound upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
within the whole of the City of Wellington and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan and shall be payable yearly on the first day of April in each
and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of
twenty-five (25) years from the thirty-first day of July, 1951, or
until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Wellington City Council held on Monday, the 5th March, 1951.
