Revocation of Appointment of Certain Garage-proprietors for Issue of Warrants of Fitness

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the Borough of Upper Hutt (Notice No. Ag. 4963)

THE following Special Order made by the Upper Hutt Borough Council on the 24th day of January, 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950.

SPECIAL ORDER

“THAT the following plants be declared noxious weeds within the Borough :—

“Bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis),
“Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and R. Lacinia tus),
“Broom (Cytisus scoparius),
“Gorse (Ulex sp.),
“Greater bindweed (Calystegia sepium),
“Heath (Erica lusitanica),
“Hemlock (Conium maculatum),
“Silver poplar (Populus alba nivea),
“Sweetbrier (Rosa eglantaria),
“Hakea (Hakea acicularis and H. saligna),
“Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare),
“Lupin (Lupinus arboreus),
“Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea),
“St John's wort (Hypericum perforatum),
“Tauhinu (Cassinia leptophylla),

And such Special Order shall come into force on the 1st April, 1951.”

Japan—Restoration of Patent and Related Rights (Including Claims for Priority) of New Zealand Nationals

THE time for making applications for the restoration in Japan of patents, utility models, and design registrations pursuant to the notification published in the Gazette dated 21st September, 1950, page 1764, has been extended.

Applications by New Zealand nationals under the provisions of the Japanese Cabinet Orders now require to be made before 31st March, 1951.
