Portion of a Public Reserve Set Apart for Housing Purposes in the Borough of Blenheim

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the portion of public reserve described hereto is hereby set apart for housing purposes; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 27th day of February, 1951.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of public reserve set apart: 26·53 perches.

Being part Lot 18 on plan 1659, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Blenheim, being part Section 50, District of Omaka.

Situated in the Borough of Blenheim (Marlborough R.D.). (S.O. 3972.)

In the Marlborough Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 133377, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of February, 1951.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road closed:—

1 0 38 Rakaukaka, Tarewa Nos. 1 and 2 Blocks.

Situated in Block VIII, Patutahi Survey District (Gisborne R.D.). (S.O. 4618.)

In the Gisborne Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 133449, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of February, 1951.

Agreement for Grant of Easement in Favour of William Henry Early, of Arapae, Te Kuiti, Farmer, Over Land in the Waitomo County, Taken for a Quarry; Assented to.

WHEREAS by an agreement dated the 7th day of December, 1948, William Henry Early, of Arapae, Te Kuiti, Farmer, has agreed to His Majesty the King taking under the Public Works Act, 1928, for a quarry, firstly, an area of approximately 11 acres 3 roods 5·3 perches, being parts Section 19, Block VI, Otanake Survey District, and, secondly, an easement in perpetuity (the right to take and pipe water) over other part of the said Section 19 containing approximately 6 perches:

And whereas the said William Henry Early is entitled to receive compensation for the taking of the said land and easement:

And whereas the Minister of Works has agreed to grant to the said William Henry Early a right-of-way in a position to be mutually agreed upon over part of the land shown on S.O. plan 30654 (P.W.D. 106287), being part of the said Section 19 taken for a quarry by Proclamation dated the 25th day of April, 1940, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 41 of the 9th day of May, 1940, at page 1013, and over part of the said area of 11 acres 3 roods 5·3 perches, being part of the said Section 19, in part satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid and to provide a sum of money in satisfaction of the residue of the said compensation:

And whereas the said William Henry Early has agreed to accept such grant of easement and such sum of money in full satisfaction of the said compensation:

Now, therefore, the Minister of Works doth hereby give notice in pursuance of section 97 of the Public Works Act, 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Patea, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Being part Section 122, Whenuakura District.

Situated in Block VII, Carlyle Survey District (Taranaki R.D.). (S.O. 8243.)

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125440, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.
