comprising the whole of the North Auckland Electric-power District
as constituted prior to the inclusion therein of the Kamo Town
District, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly
on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency
of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan
is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the North
Auckland Electric-power Board held on the 2nd day of February,
1950.

NOTICE is hereby given that by notice dated the 25th day of
November, 1948, the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the
Borough of Upper Hutt required to take certain lands in the Borough
of Upper Hutt for the purposes of a public work,—namely, a street—
and notice is hereby further given that the lands described in the
Schedule hereto, being part of the lands described in the aforesaid
notice, are not now required for the purposes of the said public
work and the aforesaid notice is hereby withdrawn in respect of the
lands described in the Schedule hereto.

I, WILLIAM MEWTON, of the Provincial District of Canterbury
in the Dominion of New Zealand, Farm-manager, who have
for many years been known by and described under the name of
WILLIAM HIGGINS, but whose birth was registered under the name of
WILLIAM MEWTON hereby give notice that I for myself, my wife,
my family, and remoter issue have renounced and abandoned the
use of my said registered surname of MEWTON and have confirmed,
assumed, and adopted in lieu thereof the said surname of HIGGINS:
and I hereby give further notice that such change of name is evidenced
by a deed-poll bearing date the 2nd day of December, 1949, duly
executed by me and attested and enrolled in the Registry of the
Supreme Court of New Zealand at Christchurch on the 13th day of
December 1949, under No. M. 5612.
