Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee Under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II): (Unclaimed Lands)

WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have for the purposes of Part II of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (relating to unclaimed lands) made due inquiry with respect to the lands described in the Schedule hereunder and the whereabouts of the owner thereof, and have, in respect of the said lands, given the notices prescribed by section 66 of that Act and have in all respects complied with the provisions of that Act pertinent thereto: and whereas the owner has not established his title to the said lands as required by that Act: I hereby give notice that the said lands are under and by virtue of that Act vested in the Public Trustee as aforesaid as from the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, the value of the lands for the purposes of section 67 (d) of that Act being less than five hundred pounds (£500).

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing 60 acres, more or less, being the northern portion of Allotment 74, Parish of Ruatangata, and being the whole of the land comprised in Crown Grant No. 5590B, and in certificate of title, Vol. 559, folio 182, Auckland Registry (limited as to title and as to parcels), the registered proprietor of the said parcel of land being William Hammond, of Russell, Labourer.

Law Practitioners Amendment Act, 1935

PURSUANT to the Law Practitioners Amendment Act, 1935, notice is hereby given that the Disciplinary Committee of the New Zealand Law Society on the 8th day of December, 1949, ordered that John Douglas Godfrey, of Christchurch, be suspended from practice as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of New Zealand for a period of three years as from the 8th day of December, 1949, and that he pay thirty guineas costs.

Law Practitioners Amendment Act, 1935

PURSUANT to the Law Practitioners Amendment Act, 1935, notice is hereby given that the Disciplinary Committee of the New Zealand Law Society on the 8th day of December, 1949, ordered that Cyril Victor Lester, of Christchurch, be suspended from practice as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of New Zealand for a period of three years as from the 8th day of December, 1949, and that he pay thirty guineas costs.

Price Order No. 1124 (Amendment No. 1 of Price Order No. 928) (Australian Oranges)

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order:—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1124 and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 928* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 9th day of February, 1950.

  3. The principal Order is hereby amended as follows:—

(a) By omitting from paragraph (a) of subclause (1) of clause 7 the figure “25s.” and substituting the figure “28s. 6d.” and by omitting from paragraph (b) of the same subclause the figure “24s.” and substituting the figure “27s. 6d.”.

(b) By omitting from subclause (1) of clause 8 the figure “9d.” and substituting the figure “10d.”.

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act, 1949, as permanent State forest land.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—CANTERBURY CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Kowai County, containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being Rural Section 35334, situated in Block X, Grey Survey District, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 192, folio 169 (Canterbury Registry). As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 136/10, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Canterbury plan S.O. 4377.)

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Whangarei County, containing by admeasurement 3,011 acres, more or less, being Section 1, Block XVI, Russell Survey District, and being originally Punaruku No. 1 Block. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 6/9, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (North Auckland plan S.O. 35487.)
