Additional Land at Porewa Taken for the Purposes of the North Island Main Trunk Railway

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the North Island Main Trunk Railway.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken :—
A. R. P. Being
0 0 1·65 Part Block XXVII, Rangitikei District ; coloured sepia.
0 0 11·5 Part Lot 3, D.P. 3761, being part Block XXVII, Rangitikei District ; coloured orange.
All situated in Block XVI, Wangaehu Survey District, Rangitikei County. (S.O. 21954.)
In the Wellington Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O, 10167, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of February, 1950.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a portion of the Wellington – New Plymouth Railway (Turakina–Okoi a Deviation).
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 2 roods 39 perches. Being part of Lot 2, D.P. 6840, being part Section 247, Left Bank Wanganui River.
Situated in Block VIII, Ikitara Survey District. (S.O. 21923.)
In the Wellington Land District : as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 130760, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the development of water-power (depot).

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 1 acre 2 roods 13·2 perches.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, and section thirty of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1945, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for better utilization ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the thirteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fifty.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purpose of a pleasure-ground and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wellington as from the date hereinafter mentioned ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the thirteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fifty.
