Conferring on Waitomo County Council Certain Powers of Borough
Councils With Respect to Water Supply

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 13th day of
December, 1950
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in
him in that behalf by section 182 of the Counties Act, 1920,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby confer on the
Waitomo County Council all the powers with respect to the supply
of water for domestic or industrial purposes exercisable by a duly
constituted Borough Council under sections 82 to 84, 86 to 88,
Part XX (with the exception of sections 251, 253, and 254),
and section 346 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and
also section 20 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act,
1938, but subject to the restrictions that such powers shall be
exercisable only over that portion of the County of Waitomo
described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the
Te Kuiti - Pio Pio State Highway at the south-eastern corner of
Kaingapipi No. 9 Block (Block IX, Otanake Survey District);
thence proceeding northerly along the eastern boundary of
Kaingapipi No. 9 Block to its intersection with the boundary
between Blocks IX and XI, Otanake Survey District; thence
westerly along the last-mentioned boundary to the western boundary
of Kaingapipi No. 9 Block, aforesaid; thence northerly along that
boundary to the north-eastern corner of Kaingapipi No. 11g 1b
Block; thence westerly and southerly generally along the northern
and western boundaries of that Block to its south-western corner;
thence south-westerly along a right line across a roadway to the
north-easterly boundary of that part of Kaingapipi No. 2 Block
shown on the plan numbered 17444 deposited in the office of the
District Land Registrar at Auckland, at a point distant 300 links
from the Maipoa Main Highway; thence north-westerly along the
last-mentioned boundary to the northern boundary of the said
Kaingapipi No. 2 Block; thence westerly along that boundary and
its production across the Maipoa Main Highway to its western
side; thence south-westerly generally along that side of the said
Highway to and along the north-western boundary of Kinohaku
East No. 5R 1 Block; thence south-easterly along the south-western
boundary of the said Kinohaku East No 5B 1 Block and its
production to the eastern side of the Pio Pio - Mangaoahae Main
Highway; thence south-westerly generally along that side of the
said Highway across the abuttal of a roadway to the westernmost
corner of Allotment 1 on the Plan numbered 31965, deposited as
aforesaid; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary
of that allotment and its production to the southern boundary of
part Pio Pio A No. 2 Block (formerly part Kinohaku East Block);
thence easterly along that boundary to the Pio Pio - Mahoenui
State Highway, along a right line to the south-western corner of a
school site being part Kinohaku East No. 4R 1 Block, and along the
southern boundary of that school site and its production to the
right bank of the Mokau River; thence north-easterly generally
along that bank to the eastern boundary of that part of Kaingapipi
No. 6B Block shown on the plan numbered 10225, deposited as
aforesaid; thence northerly along that boundary and its production
to the northern side of the Pio Pio - Te Kuiti State Highway;
thence westerly along that side of the said highway to the south-
eastern corner of Kaingapipi No. 9 Block, the point of commencement.

Domain Board Appointed to Have Control of the Galatea Domain

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 13th day of

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section
44 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks
Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
Victor Esmond,
Richard Clive Mac Allen,
Ralph Craven Nettleton,
Maurice Archie Caie,
Frederick Rogers,
Allan Nelson Paton, and
Howard Goodhue
to be the Galatea Domain Board, having control of the land de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Thursday,
the 18th day of January, 1951, at 8 o'clock p.m., as the time when,
and the Galatea School, as the place where, the first meeting of
the Board shall be held.

Setting Apart Maori Land as a Maori Reservation

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 13th day of
December, 1950
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 5 of the Maori Purposes Act, 1937,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby set
apart and reserve the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule
hereto as a Maori reservation for the common use of the Maori
residents of Pakotai and the surrounding districts, as a marae and
meeting-place.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, situate in
Block V of the Mangakahia Survey District, containing by ad-
measurement 3 acres 3 roods 24 perches, more or less, being part of
the Maori Land Court subdivision known as Mimitu Ruarei 22E.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan numbered
M.A. 21/3/135, deposited in the Head Office of the Department
of Maori Affairs, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby vary
an Order in Council made on the 4th day of April, 1932, and pub-
lished in the New Zealand Gazette on the 7th day of April, 1932, at
page 735, and affecting Hauturu East B 2 Section 2A IA and other
blocks by excluding therefrom the lands described in the Schedule
hereto.

Order in Council made on the 11th day of April, 1932, and published
in the New Zealand Gazette on the 14th day of April, 1932, at page
761, by excluding therefrom the land described in the Schedule
hereto.
