Waimangaroa Branch Line

Goods and sheep booked through between stations on the Government railway (Waimangaroa Junction excepted) and stations on the Waimangaroa Branch line will be charged upon the branch, in addition to the classified or local rates on the Government railway, as follows:—
(a) Between Waimangaroa Junction and Conn’s Creek: Sheep, 7½d. per head; timber, 8d. per 100 super. ft.; coal and minerals, minimum quantity, 6 tons per four-wheeled wagon, 2¾d. per ton; other goods, 3s. 1d. per ton. Minimum charge, 9d.
(b) Between Waimangaroa Junction and Waimangaroa: Timber, 5¾d. per 100 super. ft.; coal and minerals, minimum quantity, 6 tons per four-wheeled wagon, 5¾d. per ton; other goods, 1s. 11d. per ton. Minimum charge, 9d.

Except as otherwise provided, goods booked between stations on the Waimangaroa Branch (including Waimangaroa Junction) will be charged at the classified rate. Owners of sheep must take all risk and responsibility, and perform all loading and unloading.

Coal and coal-dross consigned from Conn’s Creek to Waimangaroa will be charged 6s. 9d. per ton. Minimum quantity, 6 tons per four-wheeled wagon.

Parcels conveyed between stations on the main line (Waimangaroa Junction excepted) and stations on the Waimangaroa Branch line will be charged 5d. per parcel, in addition to the ordinary parcel rates.

Hydraulic Cranes, Greymouth

Loading or unloading by hydraulic cranes will be performed at the option of the Department, and except as otherwise provided the charge will be 1s. 3d. per ton, with a minimum charge of 6s. 1d. per lift.

Special lifts (as determined by the Department) will be charged at the following rate per lift or otherwise as may be determined by the Stationmaster, Greymouth:—

Haulage Charges, Timber, Hokitika and Greymouth

Timber loaded at Hokitika and hauled between Hokitika Station and the timber-skids for local delivery or for shipment at Hokitika will be charged for such haulage at the following rates:—
Timber, previously conveyed to Hokitika
by rail .. .. 5½d. per 100 super ft.
Timber, not otherwise specified .. 10d. per 100 super ft.
- Timber loaded at Greymouth for shipment at Greymouth Wharf will be charged the following rates for haulage from sidings to ship:—
Timber, previously conveyed to Greymouth by rail .. 5½d. per 100 super ft.
Timber not otherwise specified .. 10d. per 100 super ft.
