22. Storage Charges at Christchurch on Goods ex Ship

1. Goods discharged ex ship at Lyttelton and conveyed to Christchurch for delivery will be allowed free storage on the first day they are available for delivery and the following day. After the expiration of this period, storage will be charged at the following rates :—

For the first four days, per day or part thereof .. 1s. 4d. per ton. Minimum charge, 5d. per day.
Each succeeding day or part thereof .. 2s. 8d. per ton. Minimum charge, 10d. per day.

23. Handling Charges on Motor Vehicles at Lyttelton

1. The following handling charges will be payable on motor-vehicles discharged from or loaded on to vessels at the Lyttelton Steamer Express wharf :—

(a) For each motor bicycle delivered to or received from persons on the wharf .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. 1s. 3d.
(b) For each motor-vehicle or motor-vehicle trailer delivered to or received from persons on the wharf .. .. .. .. .. 2s. 6d.

24. Haulage and Shunting Charges, Christchurch, Riccarton, and Addington

1. Except where otherwise specified, the charge for haulage between the Department’s sheds at Christchurch will be as follows :—

Goods not otherwise specified (minimum charge, 1s. 4d.) .. 2s. 6d. per ton.

2. All goods conveyed from private sidings and station yards at Riccarton to private sidings and station yards at Addington, or vice versa, will be charged 2s. 6d. per ton or part of a ton ; minimum charge, 12s. 3d.

3. Grain in lots of not less than 20 tons conveyed from private sidings and station yards at Christchurch to private sidings and station yards at Riccarton, or vice versa, will be charged at 4s. 3d. per ton.

4. Grain in lots of not less than 6 tons conveyed from private sidings and station yards at Christchurch to the private sidings and station yards at Addington, or vice versa, will be charged 4s. 3d. per ton.

25. Port Traffic, Picton

1. The charges for haulage, handling, and sorting goods ex ship for local delivery at Picton will be as follows :—

27. Haulage and Storage Charges on Timber at Westport

1. Timber loaded at Westport for shipment at Westport wharf will be charged 5½d. per 100 super. ft. for haulage from sidings to ships. The foregoing charge will include storage up to twelve days after the expiry of which period storage charges at the rate of 1d. per 100 super. ft. per day or part thereof will be enforced.

2. Timber stacked on wharf stacking-sites awaiting shipment will be charged for storage at the following rates :—

For any period not exceeding twelve days, 5½d. per 100 super. ft.
For each additional day or part of a day, 1d. per 100 super. ft.
