Through Booking between Wellington and Stations Elevation-Blenheim inclusive

Parcels and goods traffic booked through between Wellington and stations between Elevation and Blenheim inclusive, landed at or shipped from Picton, will be charged at the following through rates for conveyance by rail and steamer, including wharfage and handling at Picton, and use of tarpaulins. Except as otherwise provided herein, the appropriate cartage, wharfage and harbour-improvement rates at Wellington and sorting at Blenheim will be additional :—

These rates include (in addition to wharfage, loading or unloading at Picton, and the use of tarpaulins), cartage, wharfage, and harbour-improvement rate at Wellington, and sorting at Blenheim. Consignments of general cargo exceeding 3 cwt. in weight or 6 cubic feet measurement will be charged 10s. or at the rates applicable to general cargo, whichever is greater.

† The freight to be charged on the actual weight at the above rates and the excess of the measurement over the weight to be charged in addition at 35s. per 40 cubic feet.
