IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section 48 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
The Manukau County Council
to be the Orere Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Tuesday, the 12th day of December, 1950, at 10 o’clock a.m., as the time when, and the County Council Chambers, 1 Princes Street, Auckland, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—ORERE DOMAIN
ALL those areas situated in Block I, Orere Survey District, containing by admeasurement a total of 13 acres 1 rood 36·6 perches, more or less, being Lot 51, as shown on a plan numbered 24229, deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland, Lot 66 as shown on a plan numbered 34966, deposited as aforesaid, and Lots 72, 73, and 74, as shown on a plan numbered 34967, deposited as aforesaid, and being parts of Orere North Block. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked L. and S. 1/1263 and 1/1263A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Directing Application of Moneys Received in Respect of Portion of the Ormond Domain, Gisborne Land District, for the Purposes of the Waihirere and Gray’s Bush Domain

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section 61 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that from the moneys received in respect of that portion of the Ormond Domain, described in the First Schedule hereto, and at the date hereof lying to the credit of the said domain, a sum not exceeding three hundred pounds shall be applied in managing, administering, and improving the Waihirere and Gray’s Bush Domain described in the Second Schedule hereto.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Orere Survey District, North Auckland Land District

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for access-way purposes :
And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for recreation purposes :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by sub-section (1) (a) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for access-way purposes to a reserve for recreation purposes.

Recreation Reserves in the North Auckland Land District Brought Under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by section 34 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserves for recreation in the North Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserves shall hereafter be known as the Orere Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

Withdrawing Land From the Operation of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by section 178 of the Land Act, 1948, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Order in Council, on the recommendation of the Land Settlement Board, declare that any land comprised in a kauri-gum reserve shall, from a date to be specified in the Order, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and on and after the date so specified, the land to which the Order relates shall become Crown land, subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1948 :
And whereas the Land Settlement Board has recommended that portion of the Te Kopuru No. 3 Kauri-gum Reserve as described in the Schedule hereto, be excepted from the operation of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation :
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 178 of the Land Act, 1948, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that portion of the Te Kopuru No. 3 Kauri-gum Reserve as described in the Schedule hereto, shall, from the 1st day of February, 1951, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.
