Authorizing the Purchase by the Teviot Electric-power Board of
Certain Electric Works From the Minister of Works

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 29th day of
November, 1950

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 76 of the Electric-power Boards Act,
1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby
authorize the purchase, on the terms and conditions set forth in
the Deed hereinafter referred to, by the Teviot Electric-power
Board (hereinafter referred to as the Board) of certain electric
works, the property of the Minister of Works (hereinafter referred
to as the Minister), the said electric works being more particularly
described in a certain Deed bearing date the 5th day of September,
1950, and made between the Board of the one part and the Minister
of the other part, of which Deed a copy has been deposited in the
office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric
Department.

Directing the Sale of Land in Block IV, Waihou Survey District

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 6th day of
December, 1950

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described
in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the
purpose for which it was acquired.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold: 10·06
perches.
Being portion of Lot 39, Wharepoha-Omahu Block (D.P. 2295).
Situated in Block IV, Waihou Survey District (Auckland R.D.).

In the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44837, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
edged green.

Members Appointed to Hillsborough Public Hall Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 29th day of
November, 1950

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the 19th day of
October, 1949, and published in the New Zealand Gazette
of the 20th day of that month, the control of the land described
in the Schedule to that document, being a reserve for a hall
site, was vested in certain persons therein named, who were
by the said Order in Council constituted a special Board, by the
name of the Hillsborough Public Hall Board, in pursuance of section
17 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928 :
And whereas it is desirable that James Maxwell Cornish and
Richard John Gorrie should be appointed members of the said
Board in place of Frank Neville Webb and Cyril Hugh Collins,
resigned :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section
17 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928,
doth hereby appoint the said

James Maxwell Cornish, and
Richard John Gorrie,

to be members of the Hillsborough Public Hall Board, constituted
by the Order in Council dated the 19th day of October, 1949,
hereinbefore referred to, in place of the said Frank Neville Webb
and Cyril Hugh Collins, resigned.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section 44
of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Thomas Alexander Hall,
John Thomas Wilson,
Robert Ian Beattie,
William John Thurlow,
Francis McAtamney,
John William Blakely.
James Patrick Verdun Herlihy,
Bruce Cunningham Greer, and
Ronald Kenneth McSkimming

to be the Patearoa Domain Board, having control of the land
described in the Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby appoint Monday,
the 22nd day of January, 1951, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time
when, and the Public Hall, Patearoa, as the place where, the first
meeting of the Board shall be held.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—PATEAROA DOMAIN

SECTIONS 63 and 67, Block I, Upper Taieri Survey District : Area,
17 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less.
Also Section 61, Block I, Upper Taieri Survey District : Area,
10 acres 1 rood, more or less.
Also Sections 57, 64, 65, 66, and 69, Block I, Upper Taieri
Survey District : Area, 49 acres 3 roods 1 perch, more or less.

when, and the Domain Pavilion, as the place where, the first meeting
of the Board shall be held.

ALL that area containing 16 acres 1 rood 11 perches, more or less,
being Sections 1 of 16, 3 of 16, and 4 of 16, Block VII, South Molyneux
Survey District, and part of Section 48, Block IV, Glenomaru Survey
District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked L. and S. 1/100A, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
