Claim for Registration of School Colours
Education Department,
Wellington, 20th November, 1950.
THE following claim for registration of school colours has been made in accordance with regulations published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 12th August, 1915, and amendments thereto. The claim will be registered unless objection is received by me within forty days of the publication hereof.
NELSON COLLEGE
Colours
Cap: Oxford blue with a ½ in. band of Cambridge blue partly encircling it, the band being 1¼ in. from the bottom edge at the back and meeting the junctions of the peak with main part of the cap in the front. Nelson College crest on frontal sector.
Hatband: Oxford blue 2½ in. wide with a Cambridge blue stripe ½ in. wide running through the middle. Nelson College crest in front.
Tie: Alternate ¹³⁄₁₆ in. diagonal stripes of Oxford and Cambridge blue.
Stockings: Mid-grey; on turnover, two ⁵⁄₁₂ in. bands of Cambridge blue separated by a ¹⁄₁₂ in. band of Oxford blue.

Road Closed by Order of the Maori Land Court

NOTICE is hereby given that those portions of road described in the Schedule hereto have been declared closed and revested in the owners of the land found entitled thereto by an order of the Maori Land Court at Rotorua on the 15th day of March, 1950, pursuant to section 490 of the Maori Land Act, 1931.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of Public Road in the Auckland District being those portions of the road adjoining or passing through part Rangatira No. 4, Rangatira No. 8A, and Rangatira No. 8A No. 2 Blocks, containing in the aggregate an area of 2 acres 0 roods 38 perches, and more particularly delineated on plan marked P.W.D. 110702, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green, blue, edged blue, and red, edged red.

THE following notice, received by the Right Hon. the Minister of Finance from the Mayor of the Borough of Balclutha, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

BALCLUTHA BOROUGH COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Balclutha taken on the 18th day of November, 1950, on the proposal of the Balclutha Borough Council to borrow the sum of £16,500 for extensions and improvements to the existing water-supply system by the installation of additional pumping and filtration plant, and the provision of a water supply to the South Otago Hospital Board’s institution at Rosebank :—

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Tauranga taken on the 18th day of November, 1950, on the proposal of the Tauranga Borough Council to borrow the sum of £55,934 for the purpose of forming, metalling, and sealing streets, constructing footpaths, undertaking stormwater drainage works, and purchasing plant and machinery :—

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to Raise a Loan
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Havelock North Town District taken on the 18th day of November, 1950, on the proposal of the Havelock North Town Board to borrow the sum of five thousand nine hundred and fifty pounds for the purpose of the construction of 2,790 linear feet of sewer from Middle Road to Iona Road in the vicinity of the Here Here Stream, the relaying and realignment of approximately 999 linear feet of sewer from a point in Joll Road in the vicinity of the Mangarau Stream, and the construction of an additional septic tank according to plans deposited at the office of the Board :—
