A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 3 acres 1 rood 10 perches.

Adjoining Reserve No. 1237 (Blackball Domain).

Situated in Block II, Mawheranui Survey District (Westland R.D.). (S.O. 4517.)

In the Westland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 132773, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 23rd day of November, 1950.

Defining the Middle-line of a Motor-way in Blocks VII and XII, Belmont Survey District, and Revoking as to Part a Proclamation Defining the Middle-line of a Road in Blocks V, VII, XI, and XII, Belmont Survey District—viz., a Deviation of the Wellington–Paekakariki Centennial Main Highway

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1947, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 9th day of October, 1945, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 63 of the 11th day of the same month at page 1264, defining the middle-line of a road in Blocks V, VII, XI, and XII, Belmont Survey District—viz., a deviation of the Wellington–Paekakariki Centennial Main Highway, as amended by the Proclamation dated the 9th day of April, 1947, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 20 of the 17th day of the same month at page 453, in so far as it defines the middle-line of the said road between a point marked 0 miles on the plan marked P.W.D. 125120, referred to in the last-mentioned Proclamation, and a point 2 chains north of the point marked 3 m. 40 chs. on the plan marked P.W.D. 122329, referred to in the first-mentioned Proclamation—and in lieu thereof do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a motor-way in Blocks VII and XII, Belmont Survey District, shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only that land situated within the limits shown edged red on the plans marked P.W.D. 122329 and 125120 referred to in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

COMMENCING at a point on the existing Wellington–Paekakariki Centennial Main Highway opposite Lot 1, D.P. 7522, Block XI, Belmont Survey District, which point is marked 0 miles on plan P.W.D. 125120, hereinafter referred to, proceeding thence in a northerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 55 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz.:—Part D.P. 3436, Lot 9, D.P. 3010, part D.P. 1278, Lot 1, D.P. 1278, Lots 10, 6, 7, and 11, D.P. 11059, Lot 6, D.P. 10616, parts Section 12, Porirua Registration District, Lots 18, 42, 39, and 38, D.P. 2037, Lots 7, 6, 5, 2, and 1, D.P. 7179, Railway land, Lot 1, D.P. 6880, and Section 17A, Paparangi Settlement, all in Block XII, Belmont Survey District, to a point in the said Section 17A, Paparangi Settlement, marked 0 m. 55 chs., being a point on the middle-line shown on plan P.W.D. 122329, hereinafter referred to, 3·6 chains north-east of the point marked 0 m. 50 chs. on the said plan P.W.D. 122329, proceeding thence on plan P.W.D. 122329 in a northerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 2 miles 68·4 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands &c., viz.:—Sections 17A, 14A, 11A, 8, and 6, Paparangi Settlement, Block XII, Belmont Survey District, Section 1A, Paparangi Settlement, Block VII, Belmont Survey District, parts Sections 19, 21, 23, Railway land, 27, 29, 30, Porirua Registration District, part Section 33, Block VII, Belmont Survey District, parts Sections 35 and 37, Porirua Registration District, and terminating at a point 2 chains north of the point marked 3 m. 40 chs. on the said plan marked P.W.D. 122329, at the intersection of the middle-line with the line of demarcation between sections 37 and 39, Porirua Registration District; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses; all in the Wellington Land District. As the same is delineated on the plans marked P.W.D. 122329 and 125120, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of November, 1950.

Authorizing the Teviot Electric-power Board to Erect and Use Electric Lines Within Part of the Tuapeka County

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 29th day of November, 1950

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Teviot Electric-power Board (hereinafter with its successors and assigns referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto; and further, for the purposes of section 76 of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, subject to the said conditions, doth hereby authorize the licensee to construct and maintain the said electric works.

CONDITIONS

  1. IMPLIED CONDITIONS

THE conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

  1. LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS

The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.

  1. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

The system of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (d), (e), and (f) of clause 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The primary distribution voltages shall be 11,000 volts and 6,600 volts between phases.

  1. DURATION OF LICENCE

This licence shall, unless sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 4th day of September, 1964.

SCHEDULE

LINES adapted for the supply of electrical energy by the systems of supply hereinbefore described within that part of the Teviot Electric-power District described in the Schedule to the Proclamation dated the 15th day of September, 1950, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 28th day of the same month at page 1780, the electric lines now proposed to be erected and used being shown by means of dotted red lines and dotted yellow lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 103, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.

Panmure Township Road Board Required, Under the Town-planning Act, 1926, to Prepare and Submit an Extra-urban Planning Scheme

WHEREAS the Panmure Township Road Board has been appointed the responsible authority under section 24 of the Town-planning Act, 1926, for a rural area, namely the Panmure Township Road District comprising part of the County of Eden, in which the Counties Act, 1920, is suspended:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor-General is of opinion that settlement is taking place within the rural area aforesaid at such a rate that the preparation of an extra-urban planning scheme is deemed advisable in the public interest:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 25 of the Town-planning Act, 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby require the Panmure Township Road Board to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board before the 31st day of December, 1951, an Extra-urban Planning Scheme in respect of the said rural area, namely, the whole of the Panmure Township Road District.
