Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work, and Not Required
for That Purpose, to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act, 1928, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the
land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject
to the Land Act, 1948.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land :
9:1 perches.
Being part Section 197, Block XV, Ohinemuri Survey District.
Situated in the Borough of Waihi (Auckland R.D.). (S.O.
34684.)
In the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 132732, de-
posited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and
thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of November, 1950.

Altering Boundaries of Counties of Inglewood and Taranaki and
Adding Area to North Riding, County of Inglewood

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 15th day of
November, 1950
Present:
THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS in pursuance of section 14 of the Counties Act, 1920,
a resolution proposing a certain alteration to the boundaries
of the County of Inglewood and the County of Taranaki was passed
by the Council of each of the said Counties :
And whereas, in pursuance of section 24 of the Local Govern-
ment Commission Act, 1946, this proposal was referred to the Local
Government Commission :
And whereas, in pursuance of the provisions of the Local
Government Commission Act, 1946, the Local Government
Commission has approved as final a scheme bearing date the 29th
day of August, 1950, providing for the exclusion of the area
described in the Schedule to the said scheme from the County of
Taranaki and the inclusion of such area in the County of Inglewood :
And whereas it is deemed expedient to give effect to the final
scheme and to make supplementary provisions for giving full effect
to such scheme:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, doth hereby declare that as on and from the 1st day of
April, 1951, the area described in the First Schedule hereto shall be
excluded from the County of Taranaki and included in the County
of Inglewood ; that the boundaries of the Counties of Inglewood and
Taranaki as so altered shall be those set forth under the respective
headings in the Second Schedule hereto; that the area added as
aforesaid to the County of Inglewood shall be included in the North
Riding of that County; that the boundaries of the North Riding
as so altered shall be those set forth in the Third Schedule hereto;
and, with the like advice and consent, doth hereby also declare that
the alteration of the boundaries of the said counties hereinbefore
made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Counties
Act, 1920.
FIRST SCHEDULE
AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF TARANAKI AND INCLUDED
IN THE COUNTY OF INGLEWOOD
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District containing 132 acres,
more or less, situated in Block XIII, Waitara Survey District,
bounded by a line commencing at a point being the south-eastern
corner of Section 145, Huirangi District, and running south-easterly
along the south-western boundaries of Sections 150 and 149, Huirangi
District ; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundaries
of Section 208, Huirangi District, and Section 1, Block XIII, Waitara
Survey District, to its intersection with the western boundary of
Lot 2 as shown on plan number 6599, deposited in the office of
the District Land Registrar at New Plymouth; thence generally
northerly and north-easterly along the western and north-western
boundaries of the aforesaid Lot 2 to the south-eastern corner of
Section 145, Huirangi District, the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE
COUNTY OF INGLEWOOD
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, bounded by a line
commencing at a point being the summit of Mount Egmont and
running north-easterly generally along the south-eastern boundary
of the Taranaki County to the middle of the Waitara River;
thence south-easterly up the middle of the Waitara River to
the north-western boundary of Section 15, Block XV, Waitara
Survey District, along that boundary to the Otaraoa Road, and
northerly along the western side of that road to a point in line
with the northern boundary of Section 12, Block XV; thence to
and along the northern boundaries of Sections 12, 20, and 21, and
along the eastern boundary of the last-named Section to the
Taramoukou Road; thence easterly along the northern side of the
Taramoukou Road, the southern side of Mataro Road, to a point
in line with the northern boundary of Section 5, Block XVI, Waitara
Survey District; thence across Mataro Road, along the northern
boundaries of the said Section 5 and Sections 6 and 7, Block XVI,
Waitara Survey District, and of Sections 1 and 2, Block XIII,
Upper Waitara Survey District; thence northerly along the western
boundaries of Sections 9 and 6, Block XIII, Upper Waitara Survey
District, along a right line running due north across Mangapito
Road from the northernmost corner of the said Section 6; thence
north-westerly along the northern side of the said Mangapito Road,
and along the northern and north-eastern boundaries of Sections 18
and 3, Block XIV, Upper Waitara Survey District, to the Waitara
River; thence southerly down the middle of that river to a point
opposite the southern boundary of Section 13, Block I, Ngatimaru
Survey District; thence north-westerly generally to and along that
boundary and the southern boundary of Section 14 to the Pita Road,
along the northern side of the said Pita Road to the eastern boundary
of Section 2, Block I, Ngatimaru Survey District; thence south-
westerly generally, across Pita Road to and along the eastern and
southern boundaries of the said Section 2, along the south-eastern
boundary of Section 22, Block IV, Huiroa Survey District, and along
the eastern boundary of Section 11, Block VIII, Huiroa Survey
District, and that boundary produced to the middle of the Waitara
River; thence down the middle of that river to the confluence of
the Makino Stream, and up the middle of that stream to a point in
line with the northern boundary of Section 25, Block XII, Huiroa
Survey District; thence westerly generally to and along that
boundary and the northern boundaries of Sections 17 and 3, Block
XI, Huiroa Survey District, to the Mana Road; thence southerly
generally along the middle of the Mana Road and the Makara Road
to the eastern boundary of Section 5, Block XI, Huiroa Survey
District; thence along that boundary to its southernmost inter-
section with the Makino Stream; thence westerly generally up the
middle of that stream to the confluence of the Mapara Stream, and
up the middle of that stream to its northernmost intersection with
the western boundary of the said Section 5; thence northerly along
the said western boundary to the southern boundary of Section 28,
Block X, Huiroa Survey District; thence westerly along the
southern boundary of the said Section 28 and its production to the
western side of Makara Road, along the eastern, southern, and
western boundaries of Section 26, to and along the southern boundary
of Section 20, and that boundary produced to the western side of
Mangaotea Road; thence northerly along that side of the road to
the southern boundary of Section 14; thence westerly along that
