IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of THE VOGUE (TIMARU), LTD.
NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was passed as a special resolution by the members of the company on the 9th day of November, 1950:—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily and that Mr. A. A. SOLOMON, of Timaru, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator.”

HAMILTON CITY COUNCIL
SECURITY RATE: BATHS £2,300 LOAN, 1950
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves that for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,300, authorized to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing and installing an oil fired plant for heating of water in the Municipal Baths, the said Hamilton City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fortieth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value, unimproved of all rateable property, within the City of Hamilton, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of the resolution passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Hamilton City Council on the 8th day of November, 1950.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of H. W. DOULL, LIMITED.
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, held at 89 Yorkshire House, on Wednesday, 8th November, 1950, it was resolved as a special resolution that the company be wound up voluntarily and that Mr. DONALD HENRY McDONALD be appointed liquidator for the purposes of the winding-up. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Town Boards Act, 1908, and of the Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Havelock North Town Board proposes to execute a certain public work—namely, to provide a recreation-ground—and for such recreation-ground the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of the Havelock North Town Board, Middle Road, Havelock North, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Havelock North Town Board at its offices in Middle Road, Havelock North.

SOUTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
STRIKING RATE AS SECURITY
(c) Electricity Development Loan, 1949, £50,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the South Canterbury Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000) authorized to be raised by the South Canterbury Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of further reticulation of the South Canterbury Electric-power District, the said South Canterbury Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of forty-five thousandths of one penny (0·045d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (being the capital value) of all rateable property within the South Canterbury Electric-power District as constituted by Proclamation dated 20th October, 1922, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 76, dated 26th October, 1922, and as amended by Proclamation dated 29th February, 1928, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 19, dated 8th March, 1928, and as further amended by Proclamation dated 7th December, 1928, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 93, dated 13th December, 1928; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-three (23) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

THE PHARMACY BOARD ELECTIONS 1950
NOTICE is hereby given that a general election in terms of the Pharmacy Board Election Regulations 1940, was held on the 3rd day of November, 1950.
For the Auckland District three candidates were nominated, R. E. Combes, F. W. G. Johnson, and H. L. Possenniskie, and I declare these three to be duly elected.
For the Wellington District three candidates were nominated, H. F. Clarke, W. M. Sunley, and N. R. C. Wilson, and I declare these three to be duly elected.
For the Canterbury District two candidates were nominated, E. Dash and E. P. Shier, and I declare these two to be duly elected.
For the Otago District one candidate, C. N. Bell, was nominated, and I declare this candidate to be duly elected.
For the Employees Representatives in terms of section 5 (2) (c) of the Pharmacy Act, 1939, one candidate, J. G. Simcock, was nominated for the North Island, and one candidate, B. G. Meikle, was nominated for the South Island. I declare these two to be duly elected.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Omnibus Plant Loan, 1950
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the Omnibus Plant Loan, 1950, of £3,500 authorized to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing plant and equipment for servicing the omnibus fleet, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ·098d. in the pound upon the whole amount of unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Timaru and such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of seven years, or until such loan if fully paid off.”

PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held on the 7th day of November, 1950, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed:—
“That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind-up, and that the company be wound up voluntarily.”
It was also resolved:—
“That Mr. C. H. BATTLEY, Public Accountant, of Auckland, be appointed liquidator.”
