Altering and Redefining the Boundaries of the Kekerangu Rabbit District.—(Notice No. Ag. 4929)

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 15th day of November, 1950
Present:
THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, and to section 29 of the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act, 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the Minister of Agriculture, made on the recommendation of the Rabbit Destruction Council, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—
(1) Alter and redefine the boundaries of the Kekerangu Rabbit District by adding thereto the area of land the boundaries of which are described in the First Schedule hereto;
(2) Declare that the boundaries of the said district as so altered and redefined shall be those set forth in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF THE AREA TO BE ADDED TO THE KEKERANGU RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land in the Kaikoura County containing an area of 750 acres, more or less, and bounded as follows: Commencing at Trig. Station W.H., Mount Whernside, in Block VIII, Whernside Survey District; thence proceeding in a westerly direction by a right line to the easternmost corner of part Section 8, Block VIII, aforesaid; thence north-westerly by the north-eastern boundary of the said part Section 8 to the Nidd Stream; thence north-easterly by the said Nidd Stream to its source in Block III, Whernside Survey District; thence south-westerly by a right line to Trig Station W.H., the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF THE KEKERANGU RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land in the Marlborough Land District containing approximately 92,750 acres and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point in the middle of the Clarence River and due west of the trig. station on Mole Hill in Block XVIII, Whernside Survey District; thence in a north-westerly, westerly, and south-westerly direction by the middle line of the Clarence River to a point opposite the junction of the Red Hill Stream; thence in a northerly and north-easterly direction by that stream and the western and north-western boundaries of the Bluff Run, No. 121, the northern and north-western boundaries of Section 1, Block VI, Section 1, Block VII, Section 1, Block VIII, Tapuaenuku Survey District, Section 1, Block VI, Sections 1, 9, and 90, Block VII, and Section 10, Block III, Whernside Survey District; thence south-easterly by the north-eastern boundary of the said Section 10 to the Nidd Stream; thence north-easterly by the said stream to its source in Block III, Whernside Survey District; thence south-westerly by a right line to the Trig. Station W.H. on Mt. Whernside in Block VIII, Whernside Survey District; thence westerly by a right line to the eastern corner of part Section 8, Block VIII, aforesaid; thence south-westerly by the south-eastern boundary of the said section 8 to the northern corner of part Section 14, Block VIII, aforesaid; thence by the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the said part Section 14 to the southern corner of the said part Section 14; thence in an easterly direction by a right line to the north-west corner of part Section 3, Block VIII, aforesaid; thence in a south-easterly direction by the north-eastern boundary of the said part Section 3 to Trig. P on Ragged Robin; thence in a south-westerly direction by the water shed known as the Front Range and Ladies Range to the trig. station on Mole Hill; thence due west by a right line to the point of commencement.

Altering the Boundaries of the Thames Valley Electric-power District

ORDER IN COUNCIL

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS in pursuance of the provisions of the Local Government Commission Act, 1946, the Local Government Commission has approved as final, a scheme bearing date the 6th day of July, 1950, providing for the inclusion of the areas described in the Schedule hereto in the Thames Valley Electric-power District:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to give effect to the final scheme:
NOW, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the local Government Commission Act, 1946, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby alter the boundaries of the Thames Valley Electric-power District so as to include the areas described in the Schedule hereto; and with the like advice and consent doth hereby declare that the alteration of boundaries hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925.
SCHEDULE
(a) ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being part of the County of Matamata, containing approximately 24,000 acres, bounded by a line commencing at Uraura Trig. Station in Block VII, Ngautuku Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Taupo County as described in New Zealand Gazette of 1933 at pages 12 and 275; thence easterly generally along that county boundary to its intersection with the western boundary of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 20272, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being parts of the Whakamaru Maungaiti Block, and Sections 3 and 4, Block III, Te Atiamuri Survey District; thence southerly generally along the western boundary of Lot 1 aforesaid and its production to the southern side of the Rotorua-Atiamuri Main Highway; thence easterly along the southern side of that main highway to the middle of the stream forming part of the eastern boundary of Lot 2 as shown on the plan numbered 15486, deposited as aforesaid, being part of the Whakamaru Maungaiti Block, aforesaid; thence southerly and westerly generally down the middle of that stream, to and down the middle of the Whangapoa Stream and the middle of the Waikato River to the boundary of the Taupo County, aforesaid; thence northerly along that boundary to Uraura Trig. Station, the point of commencement.
(b) All that area in the Auckland Land District, being part of the County of Matamata, containing approximately 16,000 acres, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the boundary between Block V, Horohoro Survey District, and Block II, Horohoro West Survey District, being the westernmost corner of Section 9, Block V, aforesaid, and being a point on the Rotorua County boundary as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 37 of the 24th day of June, 1948, page 791, and running southerly generally along the south-western boundary of Section 9, aforesaid, to its southernmost corner; thence along a right line, to and along the south-western boundary of Patetere South No. 1B 3 Block, to and along the generally western boundaries of part of Lots 11 and 10 as shown on the plan numbered 12325, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being part of the Tikorangi and Whakamaru Maungaiti Blocks, along the western boundary of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 20272, deposited as aforesaid, being part of the Whakamaru Maungaiti Block, aforesaid, and Sections 3 and 4, Block III, Te Atiamuri Survey District, to the intersection of the last-mentioned boundary with the boundary of the Rotorua County, aforesaid; thence westerly and northerly generally along that county boundary to the westernmost corner of Section 9, Block V, Horohoro Survey District, being the point of commencement.

Declaring Portion of Road (Southland Farm Settlement Road) in the Southland County to be County Road

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day of November, 1950

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county road.
SCHEDULE
ALL that portion of road (Southdown Farm Settlement Road) in the Southland Land District, Southland County, commencing at its intersection with the Glencoe-Brydone Road, thence in a north-easterly direction generally passing through Sections 3 and 4, Block VI, Lindhurst Hundred, for a distance of 42½ chains, more or less.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 132645, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
