A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted
pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter
referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the lands described
in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic
purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the
Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the said Act, and
subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
SECTION 30, Block V, Pakiri Survey District: Area, 7 acres and

Revoking the Reservation Over Portion of a Scenic Reserve in the
Taranaki Land District

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms
portion of a reserve duly set apart for scenic purposes:
And whereas the said land is no longer suitable for scenic
purposes by reason of the absence of bush of scenic value thereon:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Frey-
berg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 8
of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby
revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the land described
in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less,
being part Section 22, Block IV, Ngatimaru Survey District.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
L. and S. 4/974B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (S.O.
plan 8410.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of November, 1950.

Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purpose of a Road Near
Otautau

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms
part of land taken for the purposes of the Western Railways,
and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes
of a road:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in
me by section 226 of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto
shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette,
become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control
of the Wallace County Council, and shall be maintained by the
said council in like manner as other public highways are controlled
and maintained by the said council.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 1Β·8 perches.
Being parts Lots 10 and 11, Block II, Deeds Plan 36, being part
Section 15, Block II, Aparima Hundred.
Situated in Wallace County. (S.O. 5886.)
In the Southland Land District ; as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked L.O. 10576, deposited in the office
of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of November, 1950.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken
for defence purposes.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 2 roods 32.5 perches.
Being situate in the City of Wellington and being part of Section
4 of the Harbour District, and being also Lot 2 on D.P. 7623,
being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate
of Title, Volume 459, folio 183 (Wellington Land Registry).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of November, 1950.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General
Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that
the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a
pleasure-ground, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens
of the City of Wellington as from the date hereinafter mentioned;
and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on
and after the 20th day of November, 1950.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 1 acre 2 roods
34.9 perches.
Being part Section 1, Kaiwarra District.
Situated in Block VI, Port Nicholson Survey District, City of
Wellington. (S.O. 21961.)
